News - Call Of Duty Gets Anti-Cheat Upgrades And New 2FA Requirements For Season 3
Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone is loaded with new content across all modes, and the big update also comes bundled with additional anti-cheat protections. Activision's latest Ricochet anti-cheat blog reveals an additional crackdown on unapproved third-party hardware and new verification requirements for new accounts on PC. Last season, Call of Duty's Ricochet anti-cheat detections received upgrades designed to target unapproved third-party hardware, such as the Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix devices that could be used to alter player inputs and offer an unfair advantage. Season 3's update continues the fight against those third-party detections with an evolved detection system. "Our detections focus on how inputs behave during gameplay, not just which device is plugged in. This allows us to identify patterns that fall outside expected human play, even as device setups change," the publisher explained. "With Season 3, we are expanding our detection systems that target these tools." Continue Reading at GameSpot

News - Nintendo Can Reach "Only So Many People" With Games, Miyamoto Admits
Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto has said there are "only so many people" that Nintendo can reach through games, so the company wants to expand its presence in other areas to help draw in more people. This is an approach best exemplified lately with Nintendo's further expansion into the world of film with The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023 and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (out now). Speaking to Polygon, Miyamoto said Mario as a character has "always evolved alongside the evolution of digital media," and that's no different today as Nintendo brings him to movies. "As we approach Mario and developing Mario games, I start to feel like there's only so many people that we can reach through Nintendo's systems and consoles. And so now with things like digital streaming and the expanse and the reach of what the technology allows now, I feel like that's a great way to get Mario involved too, and really be able to evolve alongside with digital media," he said. "So going from being able to have a touchpoint with Nintendo only through Nintendo consoles, we want to expand." Continue Reading at GameSpot

News - Arc Raiders Furtive Meetings Quest Guide
The hardest quests in Arc Raiders tend to be the ones that require you to complete a variety of steps during a single visit to a map. When that map is Stella Montis, things can be even trickier. That's the case with the Furtive Meetings quest from Shani, which tasks you with uncovering meeting spots around Stella Montis--or as we like to call it: Shredder Central. You have to complete every step of Furtive Meetings in a single visit before extracting with a specific item. Because of this, we really think you should bring along an augment that provides a safe pocket, as it would be devastating to have to redo the entire quest because you died at the end and lost the item. When you're ready to head into Stella Montis to complete Furtive Meetings, read on. Continue Reading at GameSpot

News - Explosive Update For Mario Kart World Adds A Fan-Favorite Mode And Nerfs A Pe
Mario Kart World's newest update just added a chaotic battle mode and made some changes to a couple of items that already have players celebrating. The Ver. 1.6.0 patch of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch game includes Bob-omb Blast, a battle mode first introduced to the series in Mario Kart: Double Dash for GameCube. It's similar to the standard Balloon Battle mode, where you score points by hitting other players with items, except that players can only use Bob-ombs--and they can carry up to 10 at a time. Expect pandemonium on the battlefield. Earlier this month, fans spotted a Bob-omb icon in an image shared by Nintendo, leading many to believe that the company had accidentally let slip that the mode was on its way. Bob-omb Blast joins Balloon Battle and Coin Runners as one of three battle modes in World--fingers crossed that Nintendo will add Shine Thief from Double Dash and Renegade Roundup from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe down the line.
