News - Here's The Latest Possible Info On The Resident Evil Movie From Barbarian Dir

The new Resident Evil movie from Barbarian director Zach Cregger could feature Oscar-winner Mikey Madison (Anora). According to a new report, there are "whispers" in Hollywood that Madison--who just won the Oscar for Best Actress for Anora--could star in the video game adaptation.

Madison achieved breakout success with Anora, earning her an Oscar. Some of her previous credits included the TV series Better Things and 2022's Scream. She also appeared in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood as a member of Charles Manson's gang.

World of Reel's report said Madison has been offered a role in Resident Evil, but that doesn't mean she would necessarily accept it. Deals don't materialize all the time, for any number of reasons, if she is indeed in the mix at all.

News - Neil Druckmann Clarifies Comments on The Last Of Us 3

Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann recently made headlines when he told fans to not bet on the developer making The Last of Us 3. Now, he's clarified those comments, saying "so many stars have to align" for any given project to come to market, so he can't guarantee anything as it relates to future Last of Us projects.

Speaking to CTV's Etalk, Druckmann said, "Every project I work on I treat it like it could be my last. I just pour everything into it and leave nothing on the table."

He added: "When we did the first Last of Us game, that's how I treated it--I wasn't sure I could ever get to make a sequel. It had to have a definitive ending. Likewise when I worked on Uncharted 4--same thing. [Same for] when I worked on The Last of Us 2--I was like, 'I don't know if I'll ever get to do this again.' It had this definitive ending."

News - Jack Black Reveals One Of His Most-Played Games

Actor Jack Black is a big fan of video games, but what games specifically does he get immersed in? In an interview, the A Minecraft Movie star sang the praises of Rockstar Games' acclaimed 2018 game Red Dead Redemption II, saying he played the title for hundreds of hours during the pandemic.

"It was over pandemic times. I played Red Dead Redemption 2, and I lived in it," he told ComicBook. "It was not a game. It was like a way of life. I got 400 hours clocked, and it was a lot, and I don't regret any of it. It was so fun. It's beautiful out there, it's an incredible universe they created."

A Minecraft Movie is just the latest video game film for Black, as he also played Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. In video games themselves, Black is perhaps best known for portraying Eddie Riggs in Brutal Legend.

News - CoD: Warzone Devs Shows Off "Faithful" Recreation Of Verdansk

Verdansk returns to Call of Duty: Warzone next month. Ahead of the release, Activision has shared a new video to reveal that Infinity Ward's original Verdansk map has been completely rebuilt from the ground up with new technology, but it still aims to be faithful to the original design.

Warzone launched with Verdansk five years ago, and now players will get to experience the map with improved visuals and lighting, as shown in the video below.

Activision reveals that the remake of Verdansk is a collaboration between Beenox, High Noon Studios, and Raven Software developers, with the intention to capture the original map with the new technology that's now available.
