News - In Its Weirdest Crossover Yet, Pinball FX Is Getting Goat Simulator And The P
Pinball FX developer Zen Studios has announced two new themed tables arriving in the game on August 29, inspired by The Princess Bride and Goat Simulator. Based on the classic 1987 film, The Princess Bride pinball table has several features that'll let players interact with characters from the fantasy movie, like matching Vizzini in a battle of wits and freeing Westley from a deathtrap by shooting a pinball through marked lanes. If you're feeling lucky--or you're prepared to die--you can even challenge Inigo Montoya to a duel.

For the Goat Simulator table, things get weird with this crossover as it has headbutting bumpers, a big red button that can be triggered to start a nuclear apocalypse, a chance to stop an alien invasion, and an opportunity chance to impress the judges on an episode of Farmer's Got Talent. Like the Goat Simulator games developed by Coffee Stain North, this one is all about causing as much chaos as possible in each run.

We want to apologize and address the delay in our initial launch plans. This decision was not made lightly. Our guiding principle has always been to prioritize quality over profits. We believe in taking the time to do things right, even if it means making difficult decisions along the way.
We received valuable feedback from Valve and several trustworthy community members and content creators. Their insights highlighted areas where Vorax could benefit from additional polish. While we felt the game was ready for Early Access release, we recognized the importance of making a strong first impression. An Early Access launch on Steam is a significant event, and we want to ensure that Vorax is as polished as possible for this crucial moment.
We took the occasion to introduce at last second two much requested features like:
headbob removal ( now it is disabled by default )
multiple shotgun shells
and we are working to re-introduce our 'vintage' orange HUD in a couple of days this week.
Our goal is to exceed your expectations and deliver a game that truly stands out in the survival horror genre.
Current Status and Future Plans:
The Early Access launch of Vorax is just the beginning. The game has already a lot of content , but with your help with will grow even more. We are committed to continuously improving and enhancing the game based on your feedback. Our roadmap includes regular updates, new content, and ongoing refinements to ensure that Vorax evolves and improves over time.

News - Xbox Posts Massive Hardware Sales Decline, But It's Not All Bad News
The Xbox Series X and S will be four years old this year, and Microsoft's latest earnings call has revealed that its newest generation of consoles just aren't selling like they used to. While software and service sales have been strong, helped along by the massive Activision acquisition, hardware sales have seen a sharp decline.
In its Q4 earnings presentation for the 2024 fiscal year, Microsoft noted that its gaming hardware sales have decreased significantly, with a 42% decline compared to the same period last year. Despite this, the company's overall gaming revenue was up 44%, with a 61% increase in content and services revenue that Microsoft says was "slightly ahead of expectations." Both of these growth figures were positively impacted by the Activision purchase, Microsoft says.
The call also suggests that third-party content may not have performed as well as expected for Xbox in Q4, with Microsoft noting that "stronger-than-expected performance in first-party content was partially offset by third-party content performance."

News - Marvel's Fantastic Four Movie Receives New Subtitle
After the cast was announced and confirmed for Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four this past February, the latest installment of Marvel's first family gets a new title. Announced at Marvel's Hall H presentation during Comic-Con, the film will now be called The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Since the movie starts filming in late-July, obviously there was no footage, However, there was a vintage style science reel made by the Future Foundation presented to the audience. In the video, Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal) hosts a science show called Fantastic Science. We see the crew in a jet engine explosion, as well as Richards and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) prepping for space travel.
They are seen as celebrities and even have there are flying cars and see them lifting off into space. At the end, we see a Galactus eye peer through a window. This movie was officially teased back in 2022 during Marvel's Hall H presentation with simply the logo at the end of the panel.
