News - Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Gets An Update On How It's Coming Along
A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development at CD Projekt's teams in the US and Canada, and now we've learned a little more about the staff working on the game.
The sequel is in the works under the codenamed Project Orion, and it's only in the "early stages of development," CD Projekt said in a news release. The team working on the game includes a number of senior staffers from the original game, including Gabriel Amatangelo (game director), Paweł Sasko (associate game director), Igor Sarzyński (creative director), Andrzej Stopa (cinematic director), Kacper Niepokólczycki (environment art director), Sarah Grümmer (acting lead quest designer), and Kacper Kościeński (engineering director).
All of these people are working on the sequel at CD Projekt's new office in Boston, Massachusetts. As for people who joined the Boston studio to work on the sequel, these include former lead product manager at Blizzad, Dan Hernberg, who is an executive producer on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel; IO Interactive and Massive Entertainment's Ryan Barnard as design director; and Mortal Kombat technical director Alan Villani, who is engineering director on the Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up.

Being able to play a long RPG like Persona 3 Reload on a handheld device is, for many of us, an absolutely wonderful thing. But if you're trying to play Persona 3 Reload on Steam Deck with the default settings, you've likely encountered some severe performance issues that can slow the game to a crawl in certain scenes. Luckily, there's an easy way to dramatically improve the game's frame rate.
If you pay close attention to the areas in which the frame rate tanks, you might have figured out what the problem is: reflective surfaces. Although Reload's PC graphics settings menu is disappointingly basic, it does offer the ability to turn off Reflections. To do this, head into the System menu, select Config, then Graphics Settings, and set Reflections to Off (make sure to save your changes, too). I'd recommend setting your frame rate limit to 60 while you're at it.
The best demonstration of this difference comes in the Iwatodai Strip Mall. A good portion of the screen is filled by the glass surrounding the entrance to Wilduck Burger, and the difference with this setting is dramatic. With Reflections turned off, the game is largely able to maintain 60fps, with some occasional, minor dips and frame pacing issues--nothing too noticeable. But with Reflections turned on, the area becomes borderline unplayable, with the frame rate dipping into the teens and often going as low as 10fps on my Steam Deck OLED.

News - Two New Pokemon Squishmallows Are Available At Amazon
Two new Pokemon Squishmallows based on the adorable Clefairy and Teddiursa are now available at Amazon for the first time. Both 14-inch collectible plushes are official products licensed by the Pokemon company. While the Teddiursa and Clefairy Squishmallows first launched in 2023, this is the first time they've been available on Amazon, and you can grab them for $25 each. Plushies are staples for Valentine's Day, and these will arrive in plenty of time to gift to the Pokemon fan in your life.
Like other Squishmallows, the Terriursa and Clefairy plushes are made with super soft fabric and stuffing but are machine washer safe, and come with a special tag proving they're official Squishmallows.

News - Beetlejuice 2 Gets Official Title, Post-Labor Day Release Date
Warner Bros. has, at last, unveiled the name and release date for the highly anticipated sequel to Beetlejuice. The aptly named Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to hit theaters on September 6, confirming earlier speculations regarding its release month.
The official announcement was made through both the movie and studio's official social media channels, accompanied by a new poster you can check out below. The sequel brings back the original cast, including Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara, while also introducing new additions to the ensemble including Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux.
Tim Burton, who directed the 1988 original, has returned as both director and producer for the sequel, collaborating with Brad Pitt's Plan B, among others. While specifics about the plot still remain scarce, it is known that Ortega will portray the daughter of Winona Ryder's character from the original, and Dafoe will assume the role of some sort of an underworld cop.
