News - Palworld Is Currently Steam's Best-Selling Game, Passes 350,000 Concurrent Us
Palworld, the "Pokemon with guns" game from developer Pocketpair, is off to a hot start. The game released today, January 19, and has already surpassed 350,000 concurrent users on Steam. It only trails the free-to-play games PUBG, DOTA 2, and Counter-Strike 2 in terms of concurrent players. Palworld is available now for $27, but that price is temporary only and will go up to $30 after January 25. Palworld is the No. 1 top-selling game on Steam currently. It has been an excruciatingly long wait for Indiana Jones fans, but at long last, a brand-new video game in the franchise is on its way. First revealed in 2021, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will be arriving later this year, giving fans a chance to don the trademark fedora of the two-fisted archeologist as he uses his wits and whip to explore historical landmarks and extract teeth from Nazis. Now that the game is almost here, Microsoft and MachineGames have revealed more of its story details and have shown off some of its whip-cracking gameplay in action. Some elements are still being kept locked up tighter than the treasures in an Atlantean tomb, but for now, here's everything that we know about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle so far. Release dateFirst revealed back in 2021, Indiana Jones and The Great Machine is currently scheduled to launch in 2024. Lucasfilm and Machine Games are making an Indiana Jones game called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but what even is a Great Circle? Game director Jerk Gustafsson said in a blog post that a "'great circle' is any circle that divides a sphere in half," and Earth's best-known one is the equator. These "great circles" are used in aviation for navigation purposes, he pointed out. There is a "very real and mysterious" great circle on Earth that connects many historical sites such as Giza, Easter Island, Sukhothai, Nazca, and more.
