ARK Ascended (New Maps) Weird Bug: Can’t Spawn in Beds Until You Create a Tribe - SickProdigy - 03-28-2026
Hey SickGaming,
Not sure if this is just me, but I’ve been running into a weird ARK: Survival Ascended glitch on some of the newer maps.
What’s happening
- I’ll place a bed/sleeping bag like normal.
- When I die, sometimes the bed doesn’t show up as a spawn option (or spawning just won’t work correctly).
- It acts like the bed isn’t “valid” for spawning, even though it’s placed and should work.
Workaround / Fix (so far)
Creating a tribe seems to “unlock” bed spawns again (even if you’re playing solo).
- Open the Tribe menu
- Create a Tribe
- Try respawning again — beds have started showing up normally for me after this
Notes
- It’s inconsistent, which is why it feels like a bug: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t until a tribe exists.
- Posting this as a heads-up in case anyone else thinks their beds are bugged/broken.
Questions
- Has anyone else seen this on the newer ASA maps?
- Is there a known official fix or server setting to prevent it?
- If you can reproduce it, what map + server type are you on (official/unofficial, dedicated/non-dedicated)?
If people confirm it, I’ll update this post with the most reliable steps to reproduce.
