Resident Evil 3 Remake Surpasses Impressive Sales Milestone In Just Five Days
<p>Capcom has announced that <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/resident-evil-3/">Resident Evil 3 Remake</a>, which launched on April 3, shipped more than two million copies across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One worldwide. Though the game has only been out for a little over a week, Capcom said the RE3 Remake hit the milestone five days after it released.</p><p>Last year's remake, <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/resident-evil-2/">Resident Evil 2</a>, shipped more than 6.5 million copies to date. For comparison, 1998's <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/resident-evil-2-1998/">Resident Evil 2</a> shipped a little under five million units and 1999's <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/resident-evil-3-nemesis/">Resident Evil 3: Nemesis</a> shipped 3.5 million units in their lifetime.</p><p>Capcom also noted that 50% of RE3 Remake's sales came from digital purchases. These figures bring the RE series' lifetime sales to more than 95 million units as of December 31, 2019, according to the company's <a href="http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/news/html/e200413.html">report</a>. Physical distribution has been impacted by the <a href="http://cbsnews.com/coronavirus/">coronavirus</a> (COVID-19) outbreak, with many companies like <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-outer-worldss-switch-release-delayed-due-to-co/1100-6473472/">Obsidian Entertainment</a> and <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/final-fantasy-7-remake-will-arrive-on-time-digital/1100-6474933/">Square Enix</a> confirming delays in shipping hard copies of <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/the-outer-worlds/">The Outer Worlds</a> on Nintendo Switch and <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/final-fantasy-vii-remake/">Final Fantasy 7 Remake</a> on PlayStation 4.</p><a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/resident-evil-3-remake-surpasses-impressive-sales-/1100-6475948/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f/">Continue Reading at GameSpot</a>
