One of the most impressive releases on the Nintendo Switch so far is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition. When rumours about a possible port originally surfaced, the general consensus was that it would never run on the hybrid system, and if it did, it would have to make a hell of a lot of sacrifices.

Obviously, the port specialists at Saber Interactive were able to work their magic and have since gone to further polish the experience with a number of updates – enhancing the performance and adding a number of graphical options.

The company has now moved onto development of World War Z for the system, and although this is said to be “actually more challenging” than the Witcher 3, in a recent interview with Wccftech, Saber’s CEO and founder Matthew Karch mentioned how there is still essentially untapped power left within the system, and said that developers could get more out of it:

We are big fans of the Nintendo Switch and feel there is still a lot of great potential in the hardware and the platform. We have had enormous success so far, launching many titles on the Switch, and we are continuing to develop for the platform. We do feel there is more developers can get out of the Switch hardware

Given the fact Saber managed to release a port on the Nintendo Switch that some said was impossible, we’ll take Karch’s word that developers could do more with Nintendo’s current generation hardware. Perhaps the most-impressive games have not even been released on the Switch yet, with Karch adding:

we think fans will be surprised at some of the upcoming titles for it
