Nier fans are in a tough spot at the moment. The Nier Reincarnation mobile game--considered by many to be the third game in the series--is shutting down in April, and while Square Enix says a new console title may happen eventually, it won't be any time soon. Luckily, there is some new Nier content on the horizon beyond the realm of video games, starting with the new novel Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139…: Project Gestalt Recollections--File 02, releasing on March 19.
Project Gestalt Recollections--File 02 is the second book in the Nier Replicant novelization series co-written by series creator Yoko Taro and Nier scenario writer Jun Eishima. The books retell an expanded version of events from the game Nier Replicant. Preorders for the hardcover edition are discounted to $25.49 (normally $28) at Amazon.
