Birdo Joins Mario Kart Tour’s Holiday Event As A Playable Character

<p>Yet another new tour is on the way to <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/mobile/mario_kart_tour"><strong>Mario Kart Tour</strong></a> this week, and it looks set to add three new characters for players to pick up.</p>
<p>Serving as the last tour of the year, the ‘Holiday Tour’ is due to kick off from 10pm PT on 17th December (so that’s 6am GMT the following morning). As you can see in the promotional image posted above, we can expect to see Yoshi (Reindeer) and Pauline (New Year’s) taking to the track, and you might <em>just</em> be able to make out Birdo on the left-hand side. <em>Nothing gets past us</em>.</p>
<p>Mario Kart Tour was recently voted as one of the ‘<a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/12/google_play_votes_mario_kart_tour_as_one_of_the_best_casual_games_for_2019">best casual games</a>‘ of 2019 by Google Play and secured the honour of being <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/12/mario_kart_tour_is_apples_most_downloaded_game_of_2019">Apple’s most-downloaded game of the year</a>. It turns out the appetite is absolutely there for a mobile Mario Kart, even if some elements have been <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/10/mario_kart_tours_diddy_kong_pack_costs_p39_the_same_price_as_mario_kart_8_deluxe_on_switch">a little less welcome</a>.</p>
