Homeworld Mobile Closed Beta Drops Sometime This Year

<p>Gearbox dropped a new trailer last week showing off some additional gameplay footage of their upcoming <em>Homeworld</em> mobile port. TouchArcade spotted the news first, but I’ve only just come across it due to being away at the end of last week.</p>

<p>Sign ups for the closed beta can be done <a href="https://www.homeworldmobile.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">via the official website</a>, although as Pocket Gamer pointed out <a href="https://www.fig.co/campaigns/homeworld3" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">backing <em>Homeworld 3</em> on Fig</a> at the $60 tier or higher can guarantee you “early access” to the game (amongst other benefits). Whether that’s referring to this CBT, or whether FiG backers already have access, we don’t know.</p>
<p><em>Homeworld: Mobile</em> was announced at PAX West last year at the same time as <em>Homeworld 3</em>. Gearbox has owned the license ever since they bought it from THQ back in 2013. There’s been no official word with regards to platforms or pricing model as of yet.</p>
