The Last Of Us Part 2 Leaker Not Affiliated With Naughty Dog, Sony Confirms

<p>Earlier last week, <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/the-last-of-us-part-ii/">The Last of Us Part II</a> had a <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-last-of-us-2-plot-details-leak-naughty-dog-res/1100-6476542/">lot of its narrative leaked online</a>, ahead of its new launch date on June 19. Since the leak, it's been rumored that the source was a former Naughty Dog employee, but following an investigation by Sony this seems to not be the case.</p><p>In a <a href="https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-04-27-the-last-of-us-part-2-leaked-online">statement to GamesIndustry.biz</a>, Sony confirmed that it has identified the primary culprits for the leak, and that they are not affiliated to either Sony or Naughty Dog. The full statement,<a href="https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-04-27-the-last-of-us-part-2-leaked-online"> supplied by The Hollywood Reporter</a>, reads, "SIE has identified the primary individuals responsible for the unauthorized release of TLOU2 assets. They are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or SIE."</p><p>Sony is limiting additional details, stating that the information is still important to an on-going investigation.
