Funimation Is Having A Virtual Anime Convention That's Free To Attend
<p>Because of the <a href="https://www.cnet.com/how-to/coronavirus-and-covid-19-all-your-questions-answered/">COVID-19</a> pandemic, most conventions this year have been canceled, including <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/san-diego-comic-con-2020-is-officially-cancelled/1100-6476201/">San Diego Comic-Con</a>. However, many are shifting to a virtual event, letting fans have that same con-experience from the comfort of their own homes. On June 8, Funimation announced its anime-centric event FunimationCon 2020.</p><p>The two-day convention will happen entirely over the internet on July 3-4. Funimation announced some of the planned events for the July show, which virtual <a href="https://www.funimation.com/funimationcon2020/">con-goers can register to attend for free</a>.</p><p>While there is still more to be announced, Funimation revealed three panels centered around Fruits Basket, One Piece, and Fire Force.
