When Does Valorant Get Ranked Mode?
<p>If you got the chance to play <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/valorant/">Valorant</a> during its closed beta period, you may have gotten some time in with an early version of its <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/valorant-ranked-system-explained-how-competitive-r/1100-6476748/">ranked system and Competitive mode</a>. Loading up Valorant now to see that Competitive mode is missing was probably a bit of a surprise--the only modes available to play at the moment are its default Unrated mode and Spike Rush, which was added at launch. So when is ranked Valorant coming out? And why did Riot remove it in the first place?</p><h2>Does Valorant Have A Ranked Release Date?</h2><p>Riot doesn't offer an official Valorant ranked release date, but you can expect its ranked system and Competitive mode to return in "a few patches" after launch, according to <a href="https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-1-0/">Riot's official blog</a>. We don't know how long that will take, but Riot has been releasing patches at a fairly steady pace.
