Offside Legends Hopes To Bring Mario Strikers-Inspired Party Soccer To Switch

<p>If you’re craving a fresh take on the <a href="http://www.nintendolife.com/games/wii/mario_strikers_charged"><strong>Mario Strikers</strong></a> franchise – <em>can you believe that Nintendo only ever released two Strikers games?</em> – then you’ll want to keep an eye on <strong>Offside Legends</strong>.</p>
<p>This new game from indie developer Team Serpico is a fantasy-themed soccer-party game inspired by Mario’s very own footie outings. It’s hoping to launch on Switch and other platforms in 2021, and a new Kickstarter campaign has gone live to cover the production and development costs necessary to see it over the goal line.</p>
<p>As you might expect, this isn’t your traditional FIFA-like experience. Instead, you should expect teams made up of characters like King Arthur, Count Dracula, and Sherlock Holmes, pitches based on quirky locations like Alice in Wonderland’s chessboard, and all sorts of distractions like lightning and even flamingos.
