<p>The <strong><a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/stardew_valley">Stardew Valley</a></strong> 1.5 update has been in development all year now, so when is it going to be ready for release?</p>
<p>In a recent update over on Twitter, the game’s creator Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone said it’s now in the “home stretch”. As you might have already worked out, it’s a “very big update” so it requires a lot more polishing and bug fixing, but when it does arrive it’ll include plenty of surprises.</p>

I think you’ll be really happy and surprised with all the new stuff!</span>— ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) <a href="https://twitter.com/ConcernedApe/status/1327310830220701696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 13, 2020</a></p></blockquote>

<p>Some tweets before this one revealed the long-requested <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/10/stardew_valleys_next_big_update_is_adding_split-screen_co-op">split-screen co-op feature</a> would finally be added to the game in this next update. It will support up to four players on some platforms, and two players on other systems.</p>
<p>Throughout the year, other information about version 1.5 has also been revealed. For example, there’ll be <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/07/stardew_valley_creator_teases_version_1_5_-_expect_new_end-game_content_and_much_more">new end-game content</a>, possibly <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/09/stardew_valley_creator_uploads_new_screenshot_of_update_1_5">new areas</a> to visit and even <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/04/banana_trees_are_being_added_to_stardew_valleys_next_update">banana trees</a>. You can read about all the previous updates on our <a href="https://www.nintendolife.com/games/switch-eshop/stardew_valley/news">Stardew Valley game page</a>.</p>
