Star Wars: The Old Republic Crafting Guide

#1
To start crafting in Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will need to find and pick up a crafting trainer tutorial and use the crew skill system.

Many of the game mechanics have changed in the last decade since Star Wars: The Old Republic was released. However, apart from a few enhancements and general improvements, crafting in SWTOR remains an integral part of the overall experience. Even for players who don't focus on crafting, it can be a great tool for completing objectives of conquest, increasing the influence of pets, and gaining access to higher-level gear and modifications.

Learning the craft in SWTOR is a fairly straightforward process, even for players who may have overlooked it and left the game's introductory chapters behind. In the main Republic and Empire fleets, players can receive the Crafting Trainer tutorial mission near the starting planet. This mission guides the player through the process of acquiring their first Crew Skill by marking the locations of the crafting instructors on the map and giving step-by-step instructions on how to interact with them, although it does not include the actual crafting process.

As soon as players enter the Fortress and Crew Skills section of their fleet in SWTOR, they have the opportunity to explore the various crafting, gathering and mission crew skills. You can have information about the skills automatically added to your SWTOR Codex by right-clicking on any trainer. Players can train more than one gathering or mission skill at the same time, but can only specialize in one crafting skill. Any combination of skills can be chosen; however, it is recommended that players choose the Gathering and Task Crewing skills to obtain the materials needed to create items that can be used in their trained crafting skills. The recommended crew skills for the various swtor gold crafting skills can also be found in the code.

How to do manual work in SWTOR with the help of the Crew Skills menu

To access the Crew Skills menu in SWTOR, players must navigate to the main menu at the top of the screen, then open the "Contents" drop-down menu to the right of the "Players" menu, and click the diamond labeled "Crew Skills." "click. Once the Crew Skills panel opens, players will see the skills they have trained at the top and a list of available companions below. To craft a Companion or send it on a mission, players can select the 'Craft' skill next to 'Available Companions' under the 'Crew Skills' menu, then select the plan or mission and the 'Make Companions' or 'Send Companions' button "Click" in the lower right corner to confirm your selection.

Each of these tasks has a timer and players will have to wait for the task to be completed and their companion to return. During this time, the selected companion will not be available. If the player needs to bring them back asap, they can abort the mission by selecting the x to the right of the time remaining column in the crew skills menu; any credits or materials spent will then be refunded. Items crafted by companions appear in the main inventory, while collected materials are placed in the Legacy Materials inventory, accessible from the left sidebar of the inventory window.

As players level up their crafting level in SWTOR, crafting trainers will have new schemes for higher-level gear that they can purchase. Players will also be able to find schemes in enemy loot or purchase them from the Galactic Trade Network. Additionally, as players improve and maximize their crafting skills in SWTOR, they will unlock traditional crafting titles that they can display on their character nameplates.
