But now it’s finally time to sit back and enjoy some game time. The Nintendo Life team have shared their plans below, and we’d love for you to get involved via the comments and poll sections as always. Enjoy!

Another weekend, another chance to catch a few of ’em in Pokémon Sword! That’s how the saying goes, right?
I’m pretty determined to complete my Pokédex, actually going as far as wanting a full ‘living Dex’ where you have one of every single Pokémon in your PC, and things are going relatively well. Of course, having a very limited amount of free time is an issue, but with the help of my Nintendo Life news reporting bestie, Liam, things should go a little smoother. Luckily, he’s grabbed Pokémon Shield, so we’re working towards finding all of the exclusive creatures for each other. Awh.

This weekend I’ll be settling down to have a blast on some of the games I picked up during the Black Friday eShop sale. I’ll be blasting into some Super Bomberman R and Broforce as well as testing out my drifting skills in Team Sonic Racing.
Besides that lot I’ll also be continuing to make my way through the unbelievably great port of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag that’s rocked up on the eShop as part of the Rebel Collection, I’ve completed the main campaign but that huge big world map is still bursting full of secrets to set sail for. Avast ye! Binnacle! All hands ahoy…eh…that kind of thing. Arrrr!
We also have a friend staying over this weekend who has – and I quote – “never played a Switch before”. So there will likely need to be some education on all of the other classic titles like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey happening as well.
Gavin Lane, staff writer
This weekend I find myself left to my own devices for an entire Saturday. I’m sure many of you experience this level of freedom every weekend – maybe even on Sunday, too – but it’s a rarity for yours truly, and the potential is making me a bit giddy.
Beyond the glorious non-gaming acts in which I shall indulge (like having a massive lie-in followed by a damn fine coffee while listening to some pleasant tunes and leisurely flicking through a gaming mag), I’ll be looking to tick off one or two things from the backlog. Earlier this week I managed to finish the excellent Sayonara Wild Hearts, and I’d like to polish off Gato Roboto this weekend, too. Then there are the inevitable Gym Badges I still need to win, and I also picked up Unravel Two in the Cyber Deals sale – kinda need a co-op partner for that one, though.
There are plenty of other things sitting on my micro SD, but that’s probably more than enough to keep me occupied for 24 hours. Have a great one everybody.
Gonçalo Lopes, contributing writer
Tick, tock, tick, tock, the clock is running out of days left this year and my backlog continues to impress despite my best efforts to make it more reasonable and humanly manageable. Large doses of Valfaris, The Touryst, EarthNight, River City Girls, Astral Chain and an old Super Famicom friend with a new lick of paint – Star Ocean: First Departure R – are in order. Add in some mandatory DAEMON X MACHINA because who knew that running around as Geralt or Siri shooting giant mechs would be a thing!
My game of the week is the incredible Switch conversion of Alien: Isolation. I had never played it before because of the scariest reason of them all: it was never previously available on any platform I own. Check those corners, people… and what could possibly go wrong if I crawl inside this very dark, very tight vent?
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days…

No Time To Die: New Bond Film Will Be Especially Emotional, Star Says
The first trailer for the next James Bond movie, No Time To Die, was recently released, building up the hype for Bond's return after five years away. The cast and crew have all been sworn to a level of secrecy about the project, but in a new interview with Good Morning America, embedded below, we've gotten a few slim details about what to expect.
The video features stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, and Lashana Lynch, as well as director Cary Joji Fukunaga, and contains a lot of half-answers from actors who have obviously signed NDAs.
According to Craig, who infamously said right after filming Spectre that he'd rather "slash his wrists" than play Bond again, seems more at peace with the role now, saying of the film-making process on this one that the "biggest surprise was how much (he) enjoyed it." Malek, asked about the mask his character wears in the film, says "I can tell you nothing," but gave some minor insight into his villain: "it's a very formidable, nasty human being. I can't say much."
Lyshanna Lynch describes her character as a "00 agent," but interestingly stops short of referring to her as 007, despite reports suggesting that her character will have adopted the 007 title from Bond. It's clear that she cannot talk about any potential future she might or might not have with the franchise. She also says that Craig, who broke his ankle during filming, is her favorite Bond ever.
Asked to sum up the movie in one word, which most of the cast was unable to do, Malek takes the opportunity to offer several more words explaining why he thinks the film will stand out. "I'll say this: they're all incredibly memorable films, but this one's especially emotional, and significantly memorable for a number of reasons." He also praises Craig, turning to him and saying "you are as timeless as these films are."
Daniel Craig, for his part, manages to sum the film up in one word: "difficult."
No Time To Die releases in cinemas on April 2, 2020. Here's everything we know about the movie thus far.
These are the best Android games of 2019 (According to Google)
By Joe Robinson04 Dec 2019
Yesterday we highlighted Apple’s 2019 retrospective on what they considered to be the best games of 2019, as well as a look at their ‘Most Downloaded’ charts across free and paid. We were looking on the Play Store last night and spotted that Google have also done their own version, so let’s take a look at what they have to say about the best games on android this year…
Best Android Game 2019
Let’s start with the big one. Perhaps disappointingly, Google have crowned Call of Duty: Mobile as their best game of 2019. Considering we’ve had a lot of games come out this year, I would have thought Google could do better than this, but I do agree that it’s the best mobile shooter to have come out this year. Not that the bar is high there, but to give credit where credit’s due Activision have done a pretty good job porting their flagship shooter to mobile.
It plays well (even better now we can officially use controllers again) and the micro-transactions aren’t actually as bad as they could be (given this is Activision). If you’re a COD fan, this is actually a pretty good way of getting that fix on the go. Doesn’t necessarily make it game of the year, though.
Best User’s Choice Android Game 2019
Now this is more like it – real people having a say, we’re bound to get something interesting. It’s…Call of Duty: Mobile again. Ok then.
Not going to lie, a bit disappointing, but it could be Google are just looking at downloads. If you look at the nominees for this category, they’re all basically the Usual Suspects of current free-to-play mobile games. Harry Potter Wizards Unite, Mario Kart Tour, AFK Arena… you get the idea.
There’s a Best Competitive category, but there’s nothing in there worth shouting out about (Brawl Stars is at the top) apart from some random Free-to-Play Tennis game, but only because I wasn’t expecting that to be on such a list.
Best Indie Android Games 2019
This seems to be the category where games we’d be interested in reside, with the top spot going to Chuchel. It’s not one we’ve looked at here but I have heard good things about it on the grapevine so nice to see some recognition.
Best Android Casual Game is another category we’ll skip a full break-down. It’s not as bad as you might think, but it does feature games like Mario Kart Tour and Toy Story Drop!, with the top spot going to Fishing Life.
Best Innovative Android Games 2019
This is another potentially interesting category, although we’re not familiar with top most game – a free-to-play rogue-like dungeon crawler called Archero. The other games in this category do show how creative developers have been this year though:
AutoChess – which I think is a brilliant format for mobile, so long as a decent ‘short’ version can be created.
Minit – Devolver Digital’s innovative puzzle game where your avatar only has 60 seconds to live.
The Elder Scrolls: Blades and Assassin’s Creed Rebellion are also featured, which have some interesting aspects to them as well (although perhaps ‘innovative’ is a bit of a stretch).
There you have it – the best games on Google Play/Android, according to Google. What do you Android readers think about this? What games would you want to highlight? Answers on a postcard!
A Special Warframe Announcement Is Happening At This Year’s Game Awards
Yesterday, we heard from Geoff Keighley how there would be “around 10 new games” revealed at The Game Awards next week that no one has supposedly heard about yet.
Now, in related news, Digital Extremes – the creator of the free-to-play co-op action shooter Warframe – has announced it will have a special announcement to share at this year’s show. Here’s the message from the game’s official website:
The biggest night in gaming is back on December 12! Join us for The Game Awards and tune in to see Rebecca on-stage to present a special Warframe announcement!
In addition to this exciting news, Digital Extremes is also running a special Twitch Drop for the rare Glaxion Vandal – a chilling weapon normally exclusive to in-game events, that will be unlocked if you watch any channel in The Game Awards directory on Twitch for 30 minutes with a linked account.
The Game Awards 2019 is scheduled to take place on 12th December at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET (so that’s 1:30am GMT the following morning) and will run for around two and a half hours.
Any idea what special Warframe announcement Digital Extremes has planned? Share your thoughts below.
Get 50% Off The First Three Samurai Shodown Games On The Switch eShop
(Checks non-existent watch) Well, it’s about time someone else mentioned this ACA Samsho sale, LOL ;-p
This sale finally pushed me to pick up SS III (I mean, it costs $4 worth of quarters that I’ve basically paid for in continues already), which I don’t feel is as bad as people make it out to be. I mean there’s the ridiculous ‘Upper Grade’ mode, which I love, which keeps you at max rage all the time in exchange for losing the ability to block, and hitboxes feel a little wonky, but overall it was an important game that the rest of the (NEOGEO) installments would continue to build up and refine itself on. On the technical side of things, SNK nearly doubled the usual amount of shades per colors used on the backgrounds (compared the rest of the games following III), and an extra 1 or 2 shades on the characters, for some very smooth gradients. And on certain stages the mid-ground where the characters stand on scale a bit vertically whenever someone jumps which create a sense of depth. Nakoruru’s stage with the shallow water next to a rock wall and Haohmaru’s stage with the Sakura trees are exceptionally colorful.
I now have all the ACA NEOGEO SS’s except for V, which is the only redundant entry to the series (similar to Fatal Fury 2 in that sense). All that aside, I still plan on picking up the collection because of all the extra museum content Digital Eclipse will pack it with. I saw a preview of some of the original dev notes and sketches at MAGfest earlier this year and I was sold!
@cheesedude If anything, there’s always the old school method of training and that’s going through arcade mode. SNK’s AI isn’t a pushover. Heck, bump the difficulty up to 6 for even more fun (you can go higher, but the AI’s patterns and tendencies start to funnel you into an anti-AI pattern yourself, which is counter productive). If you have a 2nd controller, you can also have player 2 join in as a neutral dummy. It’s definitely not ideal, but at least it’s something.

Only use this in lobbies with 0-10 people to avoid getting a bonus reward. It won't work.
Getting a bonus reward while using the hack could result in your account getting banned due to very high transactions.
Just wanted to share this gem since the older thread won't get updated.

DON'T destroy a package or cancel the mission.
Before you even start asking:
Yes, you can get banned for this. Use at your own risk and don't generate too much cash in a short time.
It's recommended to limit the daily income to 15mil !
It might be pretty hard to believe, but it has now been five whole years since we first got our hands on Nintendo’s amiibo figures.
Today sees the fifth anniversary of the launch for the first wave of figures in Japan, where characters like Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Pikachu, Mario and more all entered the scene as part of the Super Smash Bros. Collection. They actually launched slightly earlier in North America and Europe, on 21st and 28th November 2014 respectively, so we’re firmly into our sixth year of collecting in the west.
To celebrate the occasion, Nintendo’s official Japanese Instagram account has shared a cute little video. We still remember picking up our first figure (it was Link, if you’re asking) and we’ve been spending far too much on the things ever since.
Have you enjoyed collecting amiibo over the last five years? Do you tend to use them much in your favourite games? Feel free to show off your collections in the comments below.
Fortnite Hidden XP Drop: Where To Search In The Chaos Rising Loading Screen
Fortnite Chapter 2's Week 9 challenges are now live on all platforms. As usual, if you complete eight tasks from the set, you'll unlock a special loading screen that features a subtle clue pointing you to a secret item that's hidden somewhere around the game's map.
Up to this point, that item was a different letter that ultimately spelled out "FORTNITE," but now that all the letters are available, this week's loading screen leads you to an XP drop, which is essentially like the secret Battle Stars from past seasons. If you need help tracking down the XP drop, we show you where it's located below.
Where Is The Hidden XP Drop Location?
As previously mentioned, the clue that'll guide you to the XP drop is hidden in the Chaos Rising loading screen, which you'll unlock after completing eight challenges from that set. The loading screen features a character gazing at different monitors. Look closely at the monitor in the middle of the image and you'll see the XP drop beneath the infamous purple cube that appeared way back in Season 5.
As it turns out, there's a statue of the purple cube in the Kevolution Energy Plant, which is located in the northeastern portion of Steamy Stacks--that's where you'll need to go to find the hidden XP drop. We've marked the location of the area on the map below.
Fortnite hidden XP Drop location
How To Complete The Challenge
Now that we know where the XP drop is hidden, make your way to the aforementioned Kevolution Energy Plant and the drop will appear on the ground near the cube statue, just as the loading screen teased. Interact with it as you would any other item to collect it and complete the challenge. As was the case with this season's hidden letters, however, the XP drop won't appear on the map until you've unlocked the Chaos Rising loading screen and its corresponding challenge, so you'll first need to complete this week's other missions before you can go pick it up.
The first season of Fortnite Chapter 2 was originally slated to end this month, but Epic recently announced it would be extending the season into February 2020. It's still unclear if that means we still have more weekly challenges to look forward to, but in the meantime, you can find maps and guides for this season's previous missions in our Fortnite Chapter 2 challenges roundup.
