News - Dying Light: The Beast Delayed To September
Developer Techland has announced that Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed by several weeks, as it'll now launch on September 19 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The company says that it'll use the next month to polish the finer details of the game ahead of its new launch date, as it wants to focus on areas like the user interface, gameplay balance, and player animations. "It has always been our goal to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever released," Techland said in a press statement. "To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work. We understand that this may be disappointing, but our experience has shown how important the first impression is. With just four additional weeks, we can address final details that make all the difference between good and great." Originally scheduled to launch on August 22, Dying Light: The Beast is a new standalone adventure that sees the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the first game in the series. Hellbent on revenge after a decade of captivity and horrific genetic experimentation performed on him by a sinister figure known as the Baron, Crane eventually manages to break free from his prison. News - Elgato Reveals New Budget-Friendly 4K 60FPS Capture Device, The Elgato 4K S
Elgato makes some of the most popular streaming equipment on the market, including the Game Capture HD60 X and Game Capture Neo--and not the company has announced a new entry to its capture card lineup, the Elgato 4K S, which is positioned as the company's new entry-level option. The new capture card supports PC and all major consoles--including PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2--and is capable of capturing gameplay in up to 4K resolution at 60fps. If you're considering upgrading your streaming or gameplay capture setup, the Elgato 4K S is available now for $160 at Amazon. As stated above, this new capture card records gameplay at up to 4K 60fps. For comparison, the company's previous HD60 X could only record at 60fps in 1080p, dropping to 30fps for 4K footage--that should make for an appreciable upgrade for those upgrading to this new capture card. The Elgato 4K S features a USB-C port (5Gbps) and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Setup is just as easy as Elgato's other gadgets, requiring little more a USB-C and two HDMI cables to connect the card to your display, gameplay output source, and PC or recording device. Early reviews of the Elgato 4K S are overwhelmingly positive, with users noting its portable form factor, minimal input lag, and capture quality. So if you're a creator looking to make the jump to 4K content without breaking the bank, the Elgato 4K S certainly seems like it's worth a closer look. While this is a leap over the HD60 X, the Elgato 4K S is not a replacement for the premium Elgato 4K X ($245), which is capable of capturing 4K footage at up to 144fps. The 4K X also offers a few additional bonuses, such as added HDR support, HDMI 2.1 ports, and 10Gbps USB-C ports. While most streamers will be just fine sticking with the 4K S's 4K 60fps capture quality, those who demand the highest quality will still find the 4K X the better option. Continue Reading at GameSpot

News - Nintendo Switch 2 Pokemon Legends Console Bundle Is Up For Preorder
Nintendo has unveiled a Switch 2 holiday bundle featuring its biggest exclusive game launching this fall: Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The upcoming $500 bundle comes with a digital copy of the highly anticipated new game and the Switch 2 console. The bundle releases October 16 and is available to preorder now at Best Buy, Target, and GameStop. More retailers are expected to open preorders soon. Nintendo announced the bundle directly after the latest Pokemon Presents stream, which featured a new mobile and Switch 1/2 game called Pokemon Friends as well as other charming reveals. This bundle is essentially replacing the Mario Kart World launch bundle, which has always been listed as a limited-time bundle expiring this fall. An exact end date for the Mario Kart Switch 2 bundle hasn't been revealed, but it seems likely that it'll be gone when the Pokemon bundle hits store shelves on October 16. Just like with the Mario Kart bundle, this bundle saves you money versus buying the $450 console and $70 game separately. You're getting a $20 discount by opting for the bundle. But unlike Mario Kart World, Pokemon Legends isn't a Switch 2 exclusive; the game will also be available on the original Switch for $60. For more on Pokemon Legends: Z-A, check out our preorder guide. As mentioned, the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently available for $450 on its own and for $500 in a bundle with Mario Kart World. Amazon recently started carrying the console along with all of the first-party accessories and exclusive games. Continue Reading at GameSpot

News - How Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker Secretly Prepared Us For The Series' Futu
Despite its slim lineup so far, Nintendo Switch 2's GameCube library already offers some great titles, but the obvious highlight is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Link's seafaring adventure was a daring and imaginative entry at the time of its original release, and while it eventually would be touched up and brought to the Wii U, this marks the first time Nintendo has reissued the game in its original form in over 20 years. What's most stunning when revisiting the game now, however, is its sense of boundless freedom, which offers a glimpse of the freeform direction the Zelda series would eventually embrace with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Though now widely regarded as a classic, The Wind Waker was hotly divisive when it arrived back in 2003. Its sunny, cartoonish visuals in particular stirred up quite a bit of controversy for deviating so dramatically from the 2000 Zelda tech demo, but the final game was not the radical departure it initially appeared to be. Beneath its unconventional surface, The Wind Waker remains firmly rooted in series traditions. The framework underpinning the adventure is mostly untouched, following the same formula pioneered by A Link to the Past and later codified by Ocarina of Time. But despite this, the game manages to carve out some notable changes within this template to completely recolor the experience. The boldest is the shift in setting. The Wind Waker trades the rolling fields and misty forests of Hyrule for the endless blue waves and sun-bleached islands of the Great Sea. Your journey still follows the familiar contours of previous games; you'll scour the far edges of the world collecting three magical relics, obtaining the Master Sword, and plumbing another handful of dungeons before ultimately confronting the evil Ganon. But the alluring, high-seas backdrop evokes a sense of mystique and adventure that no other Zelda title up to that point could elicit. Continue Reading at GameSpot
