News - Call Of Duty Leaks Turning Into "Viral Misinformation" Are Bad For Players, A
Activision has shed more light on Call of Duty leaks following the company reportedly taking legal action to get a prominent Call of Duty leak account to stop posting.
In a YouTube comment on a TDAWG video, Activision said it understands that "rumors are part of gaming culture," along with "healthy online speculation." But Activision said it draws a line "when leaks turn into viral misinformation." This "undermines our developers and also distorts player expectations of the games we're making," the developer said.
"When that happens, we're going to step in and set the record straight," Activision said.
News - Resident Evil Requiem Actor Has Seen All Of Your Leon Memes
In case you hadn't noticed, there's a vocal segment of Resident Evil fans who just love Leon S. Kennedy, especially now that he's back in Resident Evil Requiem. Nick Apostolides reprises his role as Leon in the game, and knows all about the thirsty Leon fancam edits online. "It exists and I'm aware," Apostolides told GameSpot after describing them as "meme-worthy scenes and little GIFs and everything that are just chopped together with like fun cutesy music or sexy music."
During GameSpot's recent interview with Apostolides and his co-star, Angela Sant'Albano (Grace Ashcroft), the actor revealed that he's "been tagged in about a million and a half of them. I've probably seen everyone that's been created. That is a culture ... I meet a lot of fans, and my first question is, 'Hey, what what got you into the games?' Or, 'What's the first game you played for Resident Evil?' ... And often times the answer is 'No ... I'm not a gamer, [I] just like Leon edits.' ... I don't blame them."
