News - Call Of Duty Is Finally Returning To One Hugely Popular Platform

Activision has skipped Nintendo platforms for Call of Duty for more than a decade, as the last CoD release on a Nintendo platform was a port of Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U in 2013. That is changing this year, though, as Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will come to Switch 2 at launch on October 23. It'll debut that day alongside the game's other versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game is not coming to last-gen consoles.

The new Call of Duty game showing up on Switch 2 is not a surprise, but instead the realization of a promise that Microsoft made years ago.

In 2023, amid the FTC vs. Microsoft court case, Microsoft said it had signed a “binding 10-year legal agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players.” The statement said Microsoft would launch Call of Duty on Nintendo platforms “the same day as Xbox, with full features and content parity.”

2024's Black Ops 6 and 2025's Black Ops 7 did not come to Switch 2, prompting many to wonder if Microsoft and Activision were actually going to follow through on the promise. In June 2025, Activision released a statement saying it was committed to bringing Call of Duty to Switch 2. A report from December 2025 said Call of Duty's release on Switch 2 was imminent.

The Switch 2 version of Modern Warfare 4 is developed by Infinity Ward in partnership with Digital Legends. It is a native version for Switch 2. It remains to be seen if the Switch 2 edition of Modern Warfare 4 has any differences compared to the game's other editions.

While Modern Warfare 4 is coming to Switch 2, Activision has not said if the popular Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale game is coming to Switch 2. Keep checking back with GameSpot for more.

Modern Warfare 4's story is centered on the Korean Peninsula, with players taking on the role of Private Park, a young Korean grunt soldier who is entering combat for the first time. The campaign is described as a "zero-to-hero" story.

A familiar Modern Warfare character, Captain Price, returns in the campaign, which will take players beyond Korea to places like New York, Paris, and Mumbai.

Beyond the campaign, Modern Warfare 4 brings back multiplayer, of course, with 12 brand-new 6v6 maps coming at launch. The DMZ mode returns as well.

Call of Duty has a long, strange history on Nintendo platforms.

News - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Puts You In The Boots Of A Grunt

If you've played the Call of Duty games in recent years--arguably any of them past the first handful--then you know the games tend to star heroes with near-superhuman reflexes, athletic abilities, and rapid decision-making. For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Infinity Ward is taking a step back, partially, from these larger-than-life heroes and putting you back in the boots of a regular "grunt" soldier.

The decision to move back to regular soldiers--which should be familiar to Call of Duty 2 players, for example--came about as Infinity Ward developed the setup for Modern Warfare 4's story. Set during a renewed war between North and South Korea, it's a conflict with global ramifications, and the mandatory military service ingrained in South Korean society played a big role. You'll spend part of the game as the Korean soldier Private Park, who is facing combat for the first time.

"South Korea has a particularity that every single person there has to serve in the military when they're young, and so for us, that's an interesting perspective," Infinity Ward co-studio head Jack O'Hara told GameSpot during a pre-reveal game presentation. It's something we haven't seen in a long time, with the seemingly immortal Captain Price dominating much of the Modern Warfare games and Treyarch's Black Ops games starring the similarly impressive Mason family.

"It's fascinating for us to go back to that perspective of young guys, 18 to 25," O'Hara added. "They have no idea what's going on, they're receiving an incomplete picture from their orders, and they're just trying to survive to the next moment."

That doesn't mean you won't see any of your favorite Modern Warfare characters, however--just that there will be more of a balance between their otherworldly feats and the regular soldiers' experiences. Captain Price and the rest of Task Force 141 will still be in the game, and the plotlines between the two will connect.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 could be a major turning point for Infinity Ward following the poor reception to Modern Warfare 3, and an opportunity for the story to get back on track. With the story seemingly breaking new ground we didn't touch in the old-school Modern Warfare games, it remains to be seen if this can inject some new life into the series at a key moment.

Come launch day on October 23, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Switch 2, and PC.

News - The Witcher 3 Is Dropping Windows 10 Support For Its New DLC, And Fans Aren?

[b]News - The Witcher 3 Is Dropping Windows 10 Support For Its New DLC, And Fans Aren?/b]

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a third story expansion in 2027, more than 12 years after the game's original release. 2015 was a long, long time ago, and gaming hardware has drastically changed since-- so much so that CD Projekt Red is updating the recommended specifications for The Witcher 3, dropping Windows 10 support in the process.

The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past will be skipping PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, which makes the slight change to the minimum requirements for PC understandable. The game will still be able to run on GPUs with less than 6GB of VRAM and 12GB of RAM. The requirement for an SSD over older hard drives might be tough if you haven't upgraded yet, especially with current prices, but is likely one you would've made a while ago.

What is slightly alarming is the shift towards making Windows 11 a requirement, which hasn't gone down well with the PC community. "Mandatory Windows 11? Really? Either CDPR got a fat check from MicroSlop, or they don't give a sh*t about players at all," reads one thread on the Witcher 3 subreddit just a few hours after the expansion announcement.

Many PC gamers are still on Windows 10 for various reasons, be it improved performance over the bloated Windows 11 or the inability to upgrade given the hardware requirements for the new operating system. Although The Witcher 3 now specifies Windows 11 in its minimum requirements, this does not mean that the game won't run at all on earlier versions of the OS. Instead, as CD Projekt Red clarified later, it means that the studio won't support or test the game on Windows 10 going forward.

This isn't a decision CD Projekt Red is making in a vacuum. Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 10 in late 2025, with the company ceasing security updates as it prioritises Windows 11 upgrades. Nvidia is also expected to stop releasing GPU drivers for Windows 10 later this year, and before the launch of Songs of the Past, which will likely have a discernible effect on the game's performance on your system.

"In short, this change does not mean that the game will not run on Windows 10," a post on The Witcher 3 forums concludes. "It means we cannot ensure that it will. Our goal is not to take something away from you. Our goal is to give you what is best the best way we can."

CD Projekt Red says that players will be able to revert to the current version of The Witcher 3 at any point, if newer updates make the game unplayable on Windows 10. The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past is expected to launch in 2027, with more details coming later in the summer.

Ragdoll Archers: Physics-Based Bow & Arrow Chaos
Posted by: starfishmil - 05-29-2026, 12:26 AM - Forum: Lounge - No Replies

Introduction
If you love archery games but want something wilder than a normal target range, Ragdoll Archers is about to become your go-to online browser game. You’ll control a ragdoll stickman archer, take aim with a bow and arrows, and defeat enemies in a physics-based archery game where gravity, angles, and obstacles all matter. One shot can go perfectly… or start a hilarious chain reaction you didn’t plan.

Gameplay Overview
Ragdoll Archers throws you into stages packed with enemies, targets, and environmental challenges. Your mission is simple: take down all enemies by landing accurate shots across different angles and distances. The twist is the ragdoll physics—when arrows hit, characters don’t just “fall,” they flip, topple, bounce, and react in unexpected, entertaining ways.

As you progress, the puzzles get more interesting. Some levels require you to activate switches, topple structures, or trigger chain reactions that help you finish objectives faster. In other words, it’s not only about landing hits—it’s also about understanding how everything behaves under impact.

Key Features
Ragdoll Archers stands out because it blends skill with comedy. Expect physics-driven chaos alongside moments of real tactical thinking. You’ll encounter interactive environments with walls, objects, and tricky layouts designed to make every shot feel like a mini physics experiment.

Progressive difficulty keeps things fresh as each stage introduces new obstacles, more complex target arrangements, and fresh ways to challenge your aim. And because every shot uses ragdoll physics and a realistic behavior model, outcomes can vary—so even replaying a stage can lead to new surprises.

In short, it’s the perfect mix of a physics-based archery game and a chaotic ragdoll physics showdown, all delivered through an easy-to-play online browser game format.

How to Play
Getting started with Ragdoll Archers is quick, and the controls are easy to learn:

Hold Left Mouse Button: aim by adjusting your targeting angle and power
Release Left Mouse Button: shoot the arrow (longer hold = more power)
Space Bar: jump your ragdoll archer to reach different positions or avoid obstacles
Your goal is to defeat enemies by shooting accurately while accounting for gravity, obstacles, and the environment. That means small changes in angle and power can completely change where an arrow lands—and what it hits next.

Tips & Strategies
Want to improve fast in Ragdoll Archers? Focus on precision over speed. Take a breath, line up the shot, then commit.

Master the physics: Spend a few shots testing how arrows behave at different power levels and distances. Understanding gravity and angles will make your aim feel much more consistent.
Use the environment: Walls and objects can affect arrow paths and outcomes, so don’t treat the stage like a blank field.
Look for chain reaction opportunities: Unpredictable ragdoll movements can be your advantage. A single arrow that knocks a structure or bounces into another target can clear the board more efficiently than direct shooting.
Aim smart, not just fast: The best players in Ragdoll Archers treat each shot like a plan—one that considers obstacles and the best targets to hit first.

Conclusion
Ragdoll Archers is a refreshing take on archery, combining bow-and-arrow skill with hilarious ragdoll physics. You’ll control a ragdoll stickman archer, defeat enemies across tricky stages, and enjoy the joy of unpredictable outcomes and satisfying chain reactions. If you’re looking for a physics-based archery game that’s easy to start, fun to master, and packed with clever challenges, jump into Ragdoll Archers today and let the chaos hit the targets.

News - 8BitDo Reveals Ultimate 3E Modular Controller For Xbox And PC
Posted by: xSicKxBot - 05-28-2026, 08:03 AM - Forum: Lounge - No Replies

News - 8BitDo Reveals Ultimate 3E Modular Controller For Xbox And PC

8BitDo unveiled the next generation of its flagship Ultimate controller series at CES 2026--and it now makes sense why the manufacturer hasn't released an Xbox version of the Ultimate 2. Officially licensed by Xbox, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E is a wireless modular controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Apple devices, and Android. The controller is open for preorder now via Amazon and 8BitDo and comes out on August 31, 2026.

If you're eager to get your hands on 8BitDo's first modular controller, be prepared to spend considerably more than you did on the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 or any other traditional controller from the popular accessory maker. The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E will retail for $150, placing it squarely in competition with Microsoft's own Elite Series 2 and other licensed Xbox controllers such as the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro, Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded, Nacon Revolution X Unlimited, Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra, Scuf Valor Pro, and GameSir G7 Pro.

Unsurprisingly, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E is the most feature-rich and technologically advanced controller in 8BitDo's catalog. It has some features found on the Ultimate 2 and Pro 3 Controllers, but the fully modular build means it has more customization options than any 8BitDo controller before it. And while you certainly can't refer to a $150 controller as "budget-friendly," it is priced lower most of the controllers listed above.

The Ultimate 3E is only the second wireless 8BitDo controller for Xbox, following last year's Ultimate 3-Mode 40th Anniversary Edition, which is on sale for $80 (was $90) at Amazon.

The Ultimate 3E has numerous features that are brand-new to 8BitDo's popular controller line. It's slightly wider than the Ultimate 2 and has textured, silicone handles to improve comfort and control. Like the Elite Series 2 and other officially licensed third-party gamepads, the Ultimate 3E comes with a hardshell carrying case and a set of swappable components.

Modular components include the right and left joysticks, D-pad, ABXY buttons, and the front faceplate. Two magnetic ABXY button modules--one standard, one microswitch--are included with the controller. This is the first time we've seen swappable face buttons utilized to switch between traditional membrane inputs and rapid, clicky microswitches. The magnetic faceplate needs to be removed before switching the ABXY modules.

Like the Ultimate 2 and Pro 3, the Ultimate 3E has TMR anti-drift joysticks with customizable RGB light rings. Stick movements are registered by electromagnetic sensors and offer a smoother, more precise feel than Hall Effect sticks. In addition to a pair of traditional sticks, the accessory kit comes with four alternative options: two tall, one dome, and one with a thicker metal ring to increase resistance.

You can also quickly swap between two styles of directional pads. The default is a newly designed eight-way D-pad with a circular shape. If you prefer the classic style, the alternative is a four-way D-pad similar to the ones found on other 8BitDo controllers. Both D-pad modules have magnetic connectors.

The modular design doesn't extend to the extra remappable buttons. Like the Ultimate 2, the Ultimate 3E has two built-in back buttons and two extra shoulder buttons (R4 and L4). The shoulder buttons can be remapped on the fly on the controller itself, while the back buttons and other inputs are remapped using 8BitDo's free Ultimate Software app. Other settings such as RGB lighting effects and stick/trigger sensitivity can be adjusted using the app. Just like other editions of the Ultimate, you can create and store up to three custom control layouts that can be cycled through by pressing the Profile button on the controller.

The Ultimate 3E is 8BitDo's first licensed Xbox controller with trigger stops. It has Hall Effect Impulse Triggers with the haptic feedback found in official Xbox Wireless Controllers. You can toggle the switches on the back of the Ultimate 3E to actuate the triggers faster. If they work like the Ultimate 2, the trigger stops essentially turn RT and LT into shoulder buttons.

8BitDo says the 1400mAh battery offers up to 18 hours of play and takes 4-5 hours to fully charge. The controller is bundled with a wireless charging dock that has "zero contact points." Outside of the charging pins/contacts, no part of the controller touches the charging stand. The 2.4GHz USB-C dongle is stored inside the charging dock's bottom compartment.

Though the Ultimate 3E is an Xbox controller, it has a couple of PC-only features. Competitive players will be interested to hear the Ultimate 3E is rated for up to 1,000Hz polling rates in wireless and wired modes. PC players can also use customizable 6-axis motion controls when synced to the wireless dongle.

The Ultimate 3E is the latest entry in 8BitDo's impressive collection of controllers and other peripherals licensed by Xbox. As mentioned, the only other conventional 8BitDo wireless controller for Xbox consoles is the eye-catching Ultimate 3-Mode Rare 40th Anniversary Edition. That said, there are a few other specialty 8BitDo wireless controllers for Xbox, including the Wireless Arcade Stick, which is on sale for $90 (was $120), and the All-Button Arcade Controller for $80 (was $100). We've rounded up all of the notable Xbox-licensed 8BitDo products below, including the retro-inspired transparent green gaming keyboard and mouse, both of which are discounted to great prices.

News - Destiny 2 Is Getting Last Content Update Soon As Bungie Moves Onto Its Next B

Nearly nine years after its release, live service support for Destiny 2 is coming to an end. Bungie has announced that it plans to release the last content update for the online shooter on June 9, 2026.

In a blog post, Bungie explained that after the game's last big expansion, The Final Shape, it felt that it had reached time on the stories it wanted to tell with Destiny 2. Content for Destiny 2 had been trickling in at a slower pace after Bungie focused more on releasing its extraction shooter, Marathon, with more time now being spent on determining what the studio's next game will be.

"As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games," the post reads. "To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio."

Bungie has reassured fans that Destiny 2 won't be going offline, with the studio planning to continue supporting it to ensure it remains playable and welcoming to new and old players alike. The blog post did not specify if previously vaulted content would be returning, however.

Bungie's latest title, the PS5 and PC shooter Marathon, is being significantly changed soon with the introduction of a PvE mode, in an attempt to attract players that might not be as enthusiastic about the game's highly competitive PvP action. Bungie was acquired by Sony in July 2022 for $3.6 billion, with the PlayStation 5 manufacturer shifting its strategy away from live service titles significantly since then.
