Dancing Piglins, Workstation changes, and fixes oh my! We draw ever closer to the Nether Update and so far I have to say the first thing I want to do is find some dancing piglins!
We’ve included some experimental changes to graphics rendering in this snapshot, which might reveal some issues on a small number of older graphics cards.
If do you find any new graphical bugs then please report them to the bug tracker with the make and model of your graphics card as well as which operating system you are using.
Piglins now sometimes dance in celebration of a completed hunt
Villager workstation logic changes
Bells can be hung from the underside of more blocks
When a villager that was traded with is struck by lightning, the witch it converts to will no longer despawn
Players can no longer mount another entity when the crouch key is held down
VILLAGER WORKSTATION LOGIC
Villagers no longer try to work at the same workstation
The most experienced nearby villager for the profession corresponding to the workstation you add will get the workstation
Villagers now have to walk to and reach the workstation before they can acquire the profession/work there
Villagers can no longer claim workstations/professions during raids or night time.
Villagers will check and make sure their workstation is valid at all times of day as long as they are within 16 blocks of their workstation.
Added shader support for accessing depth buffer
Renderer now uses per-pixel blending layers for some transparent elements
Slightly changed datapack loading to prevent custom datapacks from crashing
Cached repeated block type lookups and collisions during pathfinding for increased performance
Minor optimizations in collision detection
Top-level element in predicate file can now be array (all contents will be ANDed)
DATAPACK LOADING
If datapack reload fails, changes will not be applied and the game will continue using previous data
If existing datapacks prevent world from loading, the game will give option to load world in safe mode, which loads only vanilla datapack
Changes to datapack list are stored only after successful reload
Added –safeMode option to server to load only with vanilla datapack
Game will now detect critical datapack issues, like missing required tags and prevent world from being loaded

Known Issues for Beta, Delta and Omega
We understand some issues have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. These issues aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution. We appreciate your patience at this time!
Audio
Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.
Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.
Some users have reported that Dolby Atmos for Headphones audio setting changes when the console is rebooted/updated.
Note: If you attempt to set the audio to Dolby Atmos for Headphones and see a message advising you to launch the Dolby Access App, please file feedback before launching the app.
Game DVR
We are aware some users are unable to record game clips in 1080p with recent updates. We are aware and investigating.
Guide
When installing or updating a game/app, the installation progress bar may not show progress. The issue is known and being investigated.
We’ve received reports that the Friends tab is not showing the correct status of online/offline friends.
Some users may notice that the Guide has changed appearance and functionality, this is expected behavior as there are certain experiences being flighted among a random subset of users in Preview.
Messages
Users are reporting that Message notifications that have been marked as read are re-appearing as new. We are aware and investigating the behavior.
My Games & Apps
Users have reported seeing black tiles instead of game artwork when browsing their collection.
Note: We are still investigating the issue, please report the issue again from the console if you have done so with a prior update and are still seeing this behavior.
Some titles in collection may appear with a “trial” tag incorrectly in collection.
Profile Color
Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Python Join List Range: A Helpful Guide
If the search phrase “Python Join List Range” brought you here, you’re having most likely one of the following problems:
You don’t know how to concatenate two range() iterables, or
You want to use .join() to create a string from a range() iterable—but it doesn’t work.
In any case, by reading this article, I hope that you’ll not only answer your question, you’re also become a slightly better (Python) coder by understanding important nuances in the Python programming language.
But let’s first play with some code and get an overview of the two solutions, shall we?
Exercise: Can you accomplish both objectives in a single line of Python code?
Concatenate Two range() Iterables
Problem: How to create a new list by concatenating two range() iterables?
Example: You want to concatenate the following two range() iterables
range(1,5) + range(5,10)
Your expected result is:
[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Developing the Solution: The result of the range(start, stop, step) function is an iterable “range” object:
Unfortunately, you cannot simply concatenate two range objects because this would cause a TypeError—the + operator is not defined on two range objects:
>>> range(1, 5) + range(5, 10)
Traceback (most recent call last): File "<pyshell#2>", line 1, in <module> range(1, 5) + range(5, 10)
TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'range' and 'range'
Thus, the easiest way to concatenate two range objects is to do the following.
Convert both range objects to lists using the list(range(...)) function calls.
This has the advantage that you work purely on iterables rather than lists. There’s no need to waste computational cycles to create a list object if you need it only to concatenate it to another list object. By avoiding the superfluous list creation, you win in performance (at the costs of adding another library to your code).
You can see how the first version creates multiple list objects in memory in the interactive memory visualizer:

Use .join() to Create a String From a range() Iterable
Problem: Given a range object—which is an iterable of integers—how to join all integers into a new string variable?
Example: You have the following range object:
range(10)
You want the following string:
'0123456789'
Solution: To convert a range object to a string, use the string.join() method and pass the generator expressionstr(x) for x in range(...) to convert each integer to a string value first. This is necessary as the join function expects an iterable of strings and not integers. If you miss this second step, Python will throw a TypeError:
print(''.join(range(10))) '''
Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\xcent\Desktop\code.py", line 2, in <module> print(''.join(range(10)))
TypeError: sequence item 0: expected str instance, int found '''
So, the correct way is to convert each element to a string using the generator expressionstr(x) for x in range(...) inside the join(...) argument list. Here’s the correct code that joins together all integers in a range object in the most Pyhtonic way:
print(''.join(str(x) for x in range(10))) '0123456789'
You can use different delimiter strings if you need to:
print('-'.join(str(x) for x in range(10))) '0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9'

Behold The Kickmen Brings A Comedic Take On The Beautiful Game To Switch
There are plenty of serious football games out there these days, and actually, there are plenty of football games trying to do the opposite, too, but none seem to go quite as far in the opposite direction as Behold the Kickmen: Ultimate Football Edition.
According to its official description, Behold the Kickmen is “a football game made by someone who has no understanding of, or interest in” the sport. Players start at the very bottom of the Big Boring Football Spreadsheet, ‘doing goals’ to make their way up to the big time.
In truth, the arcade-style football itself looks pretty entertaining – especially considering the game’s designer couldn’t care less about the sport. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the trailer above.

The PlayStation 5 reveal event wouldn't be complete without the reveal. To that end, Sony showed off the physical hardware for the first time, giving us the first clear image of the PlayStation 5.
As you may have expected, the PS5 hardware bears a family resemblance to the new DualSense controller. That controller debuted in April, showing off a sleekly refined form factor and a new dual-tone design. The PS5 matches with its own design features. NetEase has an Eve Online-like strategy game in closed beta
It’s certainly a good time to be into mobile strategy games set in space. NetEase has joined in the fun with Infinite Lagrange, an Eve Online-like strategy game that has landed in closed beta. If you want to get involved, you’ll need to have an Android phone handy and be in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines. The test will last between two to three weeks, and once the server closes all the game data will be deleted.
Infinite Lagrange puts you at the head of a galactic fleet and lets you travel through uncharted space. You’ll use stargates to hop from area-to-area, coming across lost cities and alien fleets from friends and foes alike. You’ll start off with three to five ships, but once you construct a space port and upgrade your tech’ you’ll be able to get more. You’ll be able to design a plethora of different ships for your varying needs, from constructing frigates for cargo to forging battlecruisers to defend yourself.
It looks like there will be plenty of different fights you’ll find yourself in, too. When not picking scraps with other players, you’ll be able to join forces with many more to take on massive space cities. NetEase even goes as far as to say fights like these will involve hundreds of players.

Apple TV+ on Thursday shared its first branded trailer for “Greyhound,” an upcoming WWII film starring Tom Hanks that will debut on the Apple streaming service in July.
The Apple TV+ original film was originally slated for a theatrical release on Father’s Day. Due to the coronavirus, it will now debut in the Apple TV app on Friday, July 10.

Hanks plays Captain George Krause, a naval officer who leads an international armada of ships on a mission to deliver troops and supplies to allied forces during the Battle of the Atlantic. Alongside Hanks, the film will also start Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan and Elisabeth Shue.
Apple purchased the rights to “Greyhound” from Sony in a deal estimated to be worth $70 million. Sony kept the rights to debut the film in China, where it will see a release in theaters.
Currently, Apple’s premium streaming platform only has a handful of films — including “The Banker,” “Hala,” and “The Elephant Queen. Apple TV+ has been acquiring more feature-length movies since its debut in November 2019, however.
“Greyhound” will mark the first time that a Hanks-led film has debuted on streaming services instead of in theaters.
