Reno 911 New Season Gets Hilarious First Trailer And Release Date

The much-loved mockumentary series Reno 911 is returning to screens next month, and the first trailer for the new season has been released. The show is an improvised pastiche of law enforcement reality shows and will be available on the new short-form video platform Quibi.

The trailer shows the Reno 911 gang back together after more than a decade away. This includes Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Thomas Lennon, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Ian Roberts, Joe LoTruglio, and Mary Birdsong. The new episodes look like they'll have the same manic energy and outrageous laughs as the original show, with some contemporary twists. There will be some notable guest stars too, such as Patton Oswalt, Tim Allen, and Ron Perlman. Check the trailer out below.

Reno 911 Season 7 hits Quibi on May 4. As with other shows on the service, new episodes will be released daily, and the sketch-based format of the show means you can watch them in any order. Quibi is notable for having no individual videos of over 10 minutes in length.

Ahead Of Apex Legends Season 5, Respawn Is Back To Its Crafty Ways On Twitter

With the start of the Battle Armor limited-time event and with Apex Legends Season 5 about to begin, Respawn has returned to its crafty ways on Twitter. Much like the tease of leviathan movement ahead of Season 2: Battle Charge, mysteriously hacked tweets containing secrets messages prior to Season 3: Meltdown, and manufactured media craze ahead of Season 4: Assimilation, Respawn has begun to use Twitter to hint at what could be coming in Season 5.

Interestingly enough, this hint actually ties back to Season 4 and Revenant's introduction. Back when it wasn't clear whether Forge or Revenant was joining the Apex Games, the Apex Legends Twitter account posted leaked emails that confirmed Season 4's new character would be the nightmarish simulacrum. This latest Season 5 hint is once again those exact emails, but now the leaked image of them is pulled back--revealing post-it notes on the monitor display.

Based on the messages scribbled on the post-it notes, it seems like someone is taking notice of Revenant's source code--a means of shutting the murderous machine down permanently. The emails suggest that something is wrong with the means of getting the code to take, but the post-it notes posit that the fact remains that it still exists as a possible exploit for destroying Revenant for good.

English Gamers Are The Best At Mario Kart, New Study Says

The data is in, and we’re happy to confirm that English gamers have been declared the best Mario Kart players the world has ever seen. So that’s that.

Yes, data-focused gaming publisher Kwalee has put together a study taking a close look at more than 16,000 different games, looking into top-ranking achievements and more to see which countries came out on top. Here’s how all the data was compiled:

Using data available online totalling over 42,000 achievements that range from the quickest completion times to high scores, Kwalee ranked countries by how many achievements residents of each had scored, divided by population size to give fair scoring.

According to the data, players from England are the best at Mario Kart, Rock Band and Tekken; Scotland takes Crash Bandicoot; Northern Island is the best at Sonic; Ireland is the best at Super Mario; Netherlands has the best Pokémon and Donkey Kong players (and it’s also the best at Goat Simulator, so there’s something to tell the grandkids); Japan wins at Animal Crossing and Final Fantasy; the US is the best at Pac-Man and a whole bunch of sports games; and Canada is the best at GoldenEye 007 and Ecco the Dolphin. Phew.

Despite all of that, adding up all of the data across all games monitored reveals this final lineup of the most-skilled gaming countries. Is your home nation on this list?
