Destiny 2's New Limited-Time Event, The Revelry, Coming Soon
Destiny 2 is getting a new seasonal event--The Revelry, a three-week celebration of Spring. Like the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost and holiday-themed Dawning, the Revelry will last three weeks, kicking off on April 16 and continuing until May 6. The event will add content and a new Exotic weapon to the game; check out all the new details in the trailer below.
The Revelry grants access to a new version of Mercury's Infinite Forest, called the Verdant Forest. Like Festival of the Lost's Haunted Forest, it adds objective-based fights that you need to clear in order to face off against an onslaught of bosses. Although Verdant Forest can be tackled alone, Bungie advises to fight "with a team."
During the event, you'll also be given a Reveler's Tonic. The tonic can be filled with Reveler's Essence by killing the Verdant Forest's bosses or clearing certain side quests. Once filled, the tonic can be used to reduce the cooldown on grenades, melee attacks, or class abilities. The potency of the tonic can be increased as well, by equipping pieces of The Revelry's new Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor sets. The effects of these armor pieces and the your tonic will apply in all game modes except for Private Matches during the entirety of The Revelry event.
You will also be able to exchange the Reveler's Essence you collect for limited-time rewards, "including world drops, Enhancement Cores, and ornaments for the Inaugural Revelry helmet." The latter will grow in size by equipping more pieces of the Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor sets. Essence can also be exchanged for a new Exotic kinetic fusion rifle called Arbalest. Bungie describes the firearm as "the first weapon of its kind," and "does extra damage against enemy shields."
During The Revelry, drop rates for Bright Engrams will be doubled, and players at max level will earn one every time they level up. Limited-time Revelry Engrams will be available as well, the images of which are posted above.
Video: Yet Another Detective Pikachu Trailer Shows New Pokémon In Great Detail
The Detective Pikachu movie will be finding its way to theatres in exactly one month’s time, but that doesn’t mean the constant trickle of footage is showing any sign of stopping.
Yet another trailer has been released, this time directly from Pikachu actor Ryan Reynolds’ personal accounts. You can see several new Pokémon really close up here, with the likes of Venusaur and Magikarp being shown off in a jokey casting video. Expect humour, cuteness, and ‘oooh, that’s weird’ in equal measure.
The end of the trailer also reveals that film attendees will receive an exclusive Detective Pikachu card (while stocks last). You can see it below.
Will you be going to see this? Can we come? Let’s make plans in the comments below.
Play As Gaming’s Weakest Enemy In Slime Tactics, Out On Switch Tomorrow
Flyhigh Works has confirmed that Slime Tactics will be sliding and slithering onto Nintendo Switch tomorrow, 11th April.
The game is a successor to Ambition of the Slimes, an interesting little release which arrived on Switch early last year. It’s a real-time strategy game in which you control and lead the ‘weakest’ units in gaming – the infamous Slimes. Your task is to take these slimes for yourself and turn them into a powerful army.
Flyhigh Works says that Slime Tactics offers real-time strategy battles “with a difference”; the game features various slime types to master, all with their own unique skills and characteristics, and as long as you think strategically you’ll be able to conquer the most deadly of enemies. You’ll find a number of stages to play through and even some boss encounters to discover.
You’ll be able to get your hands on this one tomorrow for $9.99 / €9,99, directly from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
As always, make sure to let us know if you’ll be giving this one a go by dropping a comment below.

Still far from their destination of Mexico, the brothers have found shelter in snowy northern Oregon. Will this be the solace that finally keeps them safe? Sean’s key rule: “Hide your power” has worked for them up until now, but what happens if they’re turned over to the police?
Resident Evil5(April 25)
The Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, but a new, more dangerous threat has emerged — somewhere in Africa, innocent villagers are transforming into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Featuring online co-op, players can experience this Resident Evil classic as either Chris Redfield or his new partner Sheva Alomar, as the duo must work together to investigate and stop whatever is causing the disturbing turn of events.
Look at those games! That makes the whole “biking uphill in the rain” thing a lot more worth it. We’re not sure how to make the games stop, so if you want to stay updated be sure follow us on Instagram and Twitter. We might throw a meme in there too. There’s also the Xbox Game Pass mobile app, which has fewermemes, but comes with real game notificationsand helps you remote install to your home console. That way your games are ready to play when you are, and instead of rushing home from work to install a game, you’re rushing home from work to play a game. So much better.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we need a coffee to warm us up while we drip dry. *squeak* *squeak* *squeak* *squeak*

“Spring is in the air, Guardians! It’s time to kick up your heels, celebrate, and break a few rules! The people of the City love this time of year, and I wanted to share their joy with you, my good friends. Come to the Tower. Smell the flowers. And revel in all we have together.”—Eva Levante
The Revelry is a new event available to all Destiny 2 players that celebrates the joy of Spring. The Tower is overflowing with colorful arrangements, and Eva Levante has a new activity for you to enjoy with new rewards to claim. But that’s just the beginning—the celebration spans across the solar system, offering ways for your character to feel more powerful in every activity Destiny 2 has to offer.
Verdant Forest
The Revelry grants you access to the Verdant Forest. It may conjure up memories of the Haunted Forest from Festival of the Lost, but you’ll find it in bloom to fit the season—and in combat, you’ll discover new twists to fight through. The objective is to clear as many rooms as possible. The more spaces you clear, the more time you’ll have to defeat the onslaught of five different bosses and claim your reward.
If you want to fight with a team, you can bring one with you or let us matchmake one for you. If you want to go it alone, it will be dangerous, but that choice is available to you as well.
Abilities and Orbs
The Revelry is a chance for every Guardian to break the rules about how Light is wielded as a weapon. When you first visit the Tower, Eva Levante will grant you a Reveler’s Tonic. Fill your tonic with Reveler’s Essence by killing bosses in the Verdant Forest or completing other activities. Three different tonics will reduce the cooldown of your grenades, melee, or class ability. Choose which buff you prefer and let the sparks fly.
The more pieces of Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor you equip, the more potent the tonic will be. The powerful effect applies to every activity in the game except Private Matches. Revelers will even be more dangerous in the Crucible.
The Reveler’s Tonic is not the only way you’ll increase your output of space magic during this event. Everywhere in the game, Orbs have the chance of being generated by precision kills. The best place to create tons of Orbs will be in the Verdant Forest, as that’s where they’ll drop most often.
Rewards
The Revelry will feature the new Inaugural Revelry armor set. You can earn pieces of this set by defeating bosses in the Verdant Forest. The more bosses you defeat, the greater your chances to receive a drop. Eva will also have five weekly bounties that award Inaugural Revelry armor as a powerful drop. Each piece of the set you equip will boost the effect of your Reveler’s Tonic.
You can also turn in the Reveler’s Essence you earn through activities to Eva in exchange for packages containing assorted rewards, including world drops, Enhancement Cores, and ornaments for the Inaugural Revelry helmet.
Each ornament will grow in size depending on how many pieces of Inaugural Revelry or Vernal Growth armor you have equipped.
Are you in need of some extra firepower? Complete Triumphs and turn in Reveler’s Essence to Eva to earn a new Exotic Kinetic Fusion Rifle, Arbalest. It’s the first weapon of its kind and does extra damage against enemy shields.
Double Drops
Similar to other recent events, Bright Engram drops will be doubled. Players at max level (depending on what content they have access to) will receive both a Bright Engram and a Revelry Engram every time they level up. There will also be a “knock-out” list for the Revelry Engram, preventing you from receiving duplicates until you’ve earned all the new items.
Here is a preview of some items that will be available:
Vernal Growth armor
We will also have some exclusive items available in direct-purchase bundles.
Vaporum is a grid-based dungeon crawler RPG in an original steampunk setting, inspired by old-school classics of the genre. Stranded in the middle of an ocean, in front of a gigantic tower, the hero has to find out what the place is, what happened there, and most importantly, who he is.
