News - Itch.io Now Requires Creators To Disclose AI-Generated Content
Creators and consumers are tangling with the use of generative AI in everything from games to TV-show opening sequences, and the sentiment on AI seems to be shifting. To help consumers make decisions about which games to buy, game storefront Itch.io now requires all creators to disclose the use of generative AI in games, Itch.io founder Leaf Corcoran announced in a forum post to the site.
The text of the post itself is fairly straightforward, directed primarily at the creators who will have to disclose this information.
Itch.io's generative-AI disclosure
"We’ve deployed a new field to project edit pages called 'Generative AI disclosure.' This field asks if your project contains the results of generative AI. If you select yes, then we also ask what kinds of generative AI you utilize, including Graphics, Sound, Text & Dialog, and Code," Corcoran wrote. Selecting Yes will give your project an "AI Generated" tag, while selecting No will give it a "No AI" tag.

News - Rebirth Island Removed From Warzone Just Hours After It Returned
Rebirth Island has been removed from the Call of Duty: Warzone playlist due to "map-specific issues," just hours after the popular map returned. Players are waiting on further updates from Treyarch to find out when the map is likely to be returned to rotation.
It's a busy time for Warzone, after its big integration with Black Ops 6 and Season 1 launch last week. The update brought Black Ops 6 operators, weapons, and even game features to Warzone, as well as the new Area 99 Resurgence map, however the integration hasn't been without its hiccups. Players have experienced issues, especially with game audio, as well as with performance on PC.
Players might have been looking forward to playing the popular Rebirth Island map when it was re-added to Warzone with this week's playlist refresh, but the map was pulled from rotation just over three hours after it was added.
2024 was stacked with awesome RPGs of all flavors, and 2025 looks to be starting out strong with Avowed, which launches on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass on February 18. This new first-person fantasy RPG comes from Obsidian, the legendary developer behind hits like Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds, Pentiment, and more.
While there are a few more months left until the game arrives, preorders are now available for multiple editions of Avowed--some of which even grant you early access to the game along with a bunch of bonus content--though, physical collectors may find the options to be a bit lacking.
Avowed Preorder Bonuses
While multiple editions of Avowed come with exclusive content, the only true preorder bonus available for the game is five-day early access to the full game when you purchase the Digital Premium or Steelbook Premium Editions before launch. The Avowed early access period begins on February 13.

Season 2 of Apple TV's dystopian sci-fi series Silo premieres today, November 15, but it's not the only exciting Silo-related release this week. Silo is adapted from a stellar trilogy by Hugh Howey, and the first book in the series received a special hardcover edition on November 12. Wool Collector's Edition is available to purchase from Amazon for a 25% discount, dropping the price of this eye-catching hardcover to only $30.
The Silo Saga is also featured in Amazon's Buy Two, Get One Free Book Sale. Sadly, Wool's new hardcover edition is not eligible for the promotion, but a box set, two of the books on their own, and multiple other novels by Howey are featured in the B2G1 Free Sale.
B2G1 Free Silo Book Series & More Hugh Howey Novels
The Silo Saga Box Set is available for $34.49 at Amazon and eligible for B2G1 free. This set includes paperback editions of all three Silo novels. It's not your only option, though. Paperbacks of the first book in the series, Wool, and the third book, Dust, are featured in Amazon's promotion, too. Unfortunately, the second book is not, but Amazon has a coupon deal that drops the price of Shift to only $7.38.

News - Evercade Alpha Bartop Arcade Review - The Best And Most Versatile Home Arcade
The dream of having an arcade inside your home is considerably more realistic these days thanks to the proliferation of consumer-grade cabinets, led by Arcade1Up. But unless you have a plethora of open space and the disposable cash to buy a bunch of cabinets, bringing the arcade home means maybe one or two machines. And unlike arcades, you're usually locked into a specific lineup of games; you can't take your quarters elsewhere when you have the urge to switch things up. Multiple cabinet manufacturers have tried to solve the space and boredom concerns by becoming arcade platforms. It hasn't really worked yet, but that could change with the arrival of one of the best pieces of gaming hardware in years: the Evercade Alpha Bartop Arcade.
Officially licensed by Capcom and created by Blaze Entertainment, the Alpha offers an authentic arcade experience with full-size controls in a compact form factor for $250--a $20 discount is available if you complete your purchase before the Alpha's November 28 release. Two models, each with six preloaded games, will be available at launch: Mega Man: The Power Battle and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition. But what makes these superbly realized bartop cabinets so exciting is support for the 535 (and counting) games in the Evercade library.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Evercade is a line of cartridge-based hardware that debuted as a handheld in 2020. Today, there are multiple iterations of the handheld as well as a home console. All Evercade devices share the same game library, which means the Alpha is launching with a massive catalog of over 60 cartridge collections featuring arcade, home console, and handheld classics.
