Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics Will Actually Feature A 52nd Game
As you’d probably figured out from the game’s name, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics features 51 classic tabletop games from all around the world. Except, that’s not quite true.
You see, Nintendo’s official Japanese website has revealed that, actually, there will be a bonus 52nd game. It’s called ‘Piano’, and has been treated to this short trailer:
Imagery on the site reveals that it’ll include support for up to four players, and a rough Google translation notes that it acts as “a short break”. Only one octave of the piano can be seen in the video, so it might only allow for very basic songs, but it looks like this could well be a way for multiple players to make up little tunes together.
Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+ is Available Now on Xbox One
The sequel to Woodle Tree Adventures is here, with many new enhancements! In this post I would like to talk about the development and the ideas behind Woodle Tree 2: Deluxe+, an open world platformer like no other. So lets get started!
The development of the game began in 2017. We wanted to create a platformer game so we started with the design of the new world.
During the design stage many ideas started to pop up, in fact we understood that we had enough ideas to develop even 2 or 3 entire whole new games! So we had two options: remove features and levels to the game or develop a world big enough to contain them all.
In the end we found out that the right path was to create an entire open world map that included all the villages, levels, and characters in the game. This could even help the immersion and credibility of the Woodle universe and its expansion.
Of course the most challenging development aspect of the game is the construction and design of a world big enough to contain all the levels. Moreover this would be run at 60 frames per second with no loading times. For a small team this seems like a crazy idea to realize, but we wanted to take the challenge anyway and develop the game of our dreams.
After many years of development, I’m proud of the game we managed to make and happy that you can now play it in its best version. In fact, we were able to add new challenges and local co-op multiplayer mode for up to 4 players!
The local multiplayer mode includes the main adventure of the game, so have fun with your friends! I hope this development post was inspiring and interesting for all the Woodle fans!

Nintendo files lawsuit barrage to take down Super Mario 64 PC port
Fans of Nintendo’s Super Mario 64 have spent the last week poring over a fan-made PC port of the seminal Nintendo 64 title. Their excitement however, may have been short-lived. A report on Torrentfreak now says that the company is filing lawsuits to have the supercharged PC version taken offline.
There’s a slight twist in this story compared to the normal game dev takedown lawsuits we run. Wildwood Law Group LLC, a law firm usually enlisted to help Nintendo in its takedown efforts, doesn’t appear to be targeting the port’s makers. Rather, it’s telling Google and other online platforms to take down the port and make sure it can’t be found by the general public.
Torrentfreak notes that this strategy appears to have mixed results. One version of the port is still available on a Google Drive folder, though the company has been successful at having the port pulled from filesharing sites and on YouTube.
We’ve asked Nintendo if it has any comment on these lawsuits, and will update this story when they get back to us.
4 tips from Game Maker’s Toolkit to help you evaluate community feedback
“As a designer at some point you just have to be brave. You can’t shy away from making any major changes just because a subset of players may dislike it, or you will never ship anything interesting and your game will become stale.” –David Bocek, Respawn Entertainment
Processing video game feedback can be like plugging into the X-Men’s Cerebro. A thousand voices pop into your head all at once, and you’re trying to filter them all out to find the voice you’re looking for.
If you’re working with a great community management or playtest team, then you likely have a great process for evaluating and filtering all that player feedback. But if you don’t, Mark Brown’s latest entry in the Game Maker’s Toolkit series is worth your time.
Brown’s gone out of his way to highlight a number of practical tips developers can use to process feedback on their game, including a number of unique quotes from experienced developers who’ve solved feedback-driven problems on their own games.
You should watch the full video above, but for a quick overview, here are Brown’s four tips you can implement right away.
Don’t listen to a vocal minority. (Your most vocal players’ experiences may not match the data reflecting your broader playerbase.)
Identify problems, not solutions. (Players are great at identifying problems, but can’t always conceive of solutions.)
Don’t let changes lead to a boring game. (See the quote above.)
Create a conversation between developers and players. (If your players know why features are the way they are, they can improve their feedback.)
As a bonus, Brown’s video makes for a great explainer to players about how their feedback is best processed by developers.

There are even more new features and integrations coming to Yammer as we approach general availability, such as suggested communities, bookmarks, and additional admin and user controls. We will update this article as we launch new features and post on the Admin Message Center whenever we have any major announcements.
Enable the preview within your organization
Microsoft 365 Global Admins can configure access to the new Yammer preview through the Yammer admin portal. Admins can enable the preview toggle in the suite header and choose the default experience for their network: classic Yammer the new Yammer. Learn more about enabling the new Yammer preview for your organization.
Once enabled by an admin, users will access the new Yammer or switch back to classic using the toggle in the navigation bar.
Who can access the new experience?
Once enabled by a Microsoft 365 Global Admin, people in your organization will be able to view the toggle to opt-in to the new experience. This will be available for canonical (home) networks only. You will still see the classic Yammer experience in external networks. If your organization wants to remove all access to the new Yammer during the preview phase, you will need to contact Microsoft support.

Nintendo Switch Is ‘Barely In The Middle’ Of Its Life Cycle
The Nintendo Switch has been out in the wild for just over three years now, and you can expect it to remain relevant for a good while yet.
The console first launched on 3rd March 2017, signalling an early and rather abrupt end for its predecessor, the Wii U. Aside from the Wii U, Nintendo’s recent consoles have usually stuck around for six or seven years before being replaced by something new – the Wii launched in 2006 before Wii U’s arrival in 2012, and the Nintendo DS arrived in 2004, lasting seven years before the 3DS replaced it in 2011.
According to reports from a recent investor Q+A meeting, held just after Nintendo’s fiscal year earnings release went live, the Switch will follow suit. David Gibson, an investment advisor who attended the Q+A session, relayed some of the key points of the meeting on social media, explaining that Nintendo’s representatives described the Switch as being ‘barely in the middle’ of its life cycle.
It’s hardly surprising to hear that the Switch still has at least another three or four years left, but it never hurts to get confirmation from Nintendo itself. Is it too early to start thinking about what comes after Switch? We’ll let you ponder that one over in the comments.
Hooray! Race With Ryan Is Getting Paid DLC And A Physical Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, as Outright Games reveal the Race With Ryan: Road Trip Deluxe Edition and Race With Ryan: Surprise Track Pack DLC.
Yes, arguably the most irritating racer on Switch is back with brand new content, available as a digital update for those who already own the game, or as part of a Deluxe edition bundle which apparently offers “the ultimate racing experience”.
The new Track Pack DLC adds two new tracks – Icy Land and Route 66 – and five new racers including American Titan, New York Lexa and New Hampshire Panda. This expansion pack is available as we speak for $7.99 / £5.99 / €7.99, so feel free to get on that immediately if you already own a copy of the game.
If you’d rather wait for the Deluxe Edition – which will be available both digitally and physically – that’s planned to launch in October. This will contain the full original game, Surprise Track Pack DLC and a brand new American road trip themed pack.
We reviewed the base game when it first came to Switch in November. If you can’t tell, we weren’t exactly impressed. Here’s what we had to say:
“Putting our opinion on the cynical Ryan phenomenon to one side, the resulting game is nevertheless a slightly below-average kart racer that handles reasonably well but generally underwhelms, from the pitifully small number of tracks to the uninspired, floaty-light weaponry. Give your kids a Mario, Sonic or Crash racer instead; they may be young, but they aren’t stupid.”

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Delayed Again
Star Wars: Episode 1 is memorable for a few key, standout reasons: Darth Maul, the podrace scene--end of list. But the podrace was immortalized in the classic game Episode 1 Racer that's now being ported to PS4 and Nintendo Switch. That port has now been delayed indefinitely on both platforms.
In a tweet, publisher Aspyr announced that the port is being further delayed because of complications from the work-at-home requirements that are happening all across the industry due to coronavirus. This followed a previous delay for the PS4 version from May 12 to May 26. The new announcement didn't attach a new release date for either platform.
In Episode 1, podracing is a deadly high-stakes sport enjoyed on the dusty planet of Tatooine and basically involves tethering two jet engines to a soapbox car. Despite sapping all dramatic tension by making the stakes so high that there's no way Anakin could possibly lose the race, it was visually thrilling and a neat bit of world-building in the Star Wars universe.
