Black Widow Has Changed Composers After Being Delayed

<p>Marvel's next film, <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/black-widow-everything-we-know-about-the-mcus-firs/2900-2949/">Black Widow</a>, was originally due to be released on May 1, 2020. The film's release <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/marvel-delays-black-widow-release-date-due-to-coro/1100-6474863/">has been delayed</a>, however, due to <a href="http://cbsnews.com/coronavirus/">COVID-19</a>, and a new date has not been set. Now that the film is further away, Disney is taking the opportunity to make some changes to it, and the film's composer has been changed, according to <a href="https://filmmusicreporter.com/2020/03/31/lorne-balfe-scoring-marvels-black-widow/">Film Music Reporter</a>.</p><p>Originally, Alexandre Desplat had been announced as the film's composer. Desplat, whose previous credits include Little Women, Isle of Dogs, and Argo, has been taken off the project. Replacing him is Lorne Balfe, who worked on on Bad Boys For Life, The Florida Project, and The Lego Batman Movie.</p><p>It's unclear why this change has taken place, but it's not the only major 2020 film to make a composer change at the last moment--No Time To Die, originally due to release in April, also <a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/007-no-time-to-die-just-did-something-no-james-bon/1100-6472581/">changed its composer late in production</a>, replacing Dan Romer with Hans Zimmer.</p><a href="https://www.gamespot.com/articles/black-widow-has-changed-composers-after-being-dela/1100-6475489/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f/">Continue Reading at GameSpot</a>
