News - Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Begins With Almost 500,000 Concurrent Players On St

Talk about a strong start for the Monster Hunter Wilds beta. Just hours after releasing, the early test for the action-adventure game hit over 460,000 concurrent players on Steam. Keep in mind those figures don't even account for people on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, either.

On SteamDB, the Monster Hunters Wild beta reached a peak of 463,798 players roughly hours after it began last night at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET on October 31. The open beta will run until 6:59 PM PT / 9:59 PM ET this Sunday, November 3. So it's possible the concurrent-player count hits an even higher number as the weekend kicks off. (At the time of publication, around 430,000 people on Steam were checking it out.) Overall, it's been a year of big numbers on Steam, with user numbers being broken.

Now, this is a beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, and GamesRadar spotted players running into some comical graphical bugs for the game. For example, one Reddit post shows a monster turning into what looks like an original PlayStation polygonal creature. The official Monster Hunter account on X stated it's aware of some issues with the game so far.

News - Major GTA Online Update Releases This December; PS5/Series X Features Come To

Rockstar Games is continuing to update and expand Grand Theft Auto Online, and a major new update is coming this December. The developer has announced a new robbery-themed expansion is coming to the multiplayer experience next month, focused on the Darnell Bros. Garment Factory.

The factory is under new management, now being run by Pavel and a former FIB officer. Players will help them convert the factory into a "hive for clandestine infiltration operations." From the base, players can launch into "a bevy of thrilling and strategic new robberies."

News - Death Stranding 2's Title Screen Revealed, But There Is A Catch

Hideo Kojima has revealed Death Stranding 2: On The Beach's title screen with a tantalizing teaser, but no one should get too attached to it just yet. Kojima clarified that the title screen is "still very much temporary."

Right now, the screen features the game's name and a background image of Norman Reedus' character, Sam Porter, and a baby. The title screen has options for "Continue," "New Game," "Load Game," "Options," and "Recap of Death Stranding." That last one might be handy for anyone who needs a refresher on the events of the 2019 game, which had a narrative full of twists, turns, and Conan O'Brien.

In another update, Kojima shared an image of his work desk featuring a very comfy-looking chair. A second image appears to show multiple Death Stranding 2 save files.
