All has been pretty darn quiet on the Stranger Things front for quite a while this year, which isn't a total shock given that filming for the show's fourth season began in February this year--just before COVID-19 impacted countless productions, and left the Netflix series in relative filming limbo. But thanks to a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, co-creators the Duffer Brothers have revealed some interesting new details about what's to come.
"Everyone's excited to get back to work, but the priority of the cast and crew, and that will dictate when we go back to work," said Ross Duffer. "Season 4 won't be the end [of the series]. We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story."
Matt Duffer shared an insight into what he feels is a silver lining about the pause due to the pandemic: "We've had a lot more time to work on the scripts. For the first time, we have all the scripts written and we're able to look at it as a whole piece and make adjustments."
