Genshin makes an impact by feeding 5,000 stray dogs

Time for some good news from gaming – Genshin Impact has teamed up with El Centro de Transferencia Canina del Metro (CTC) to feed thousands of stray dogs in Mexico City, and provide a bit of light into their lives.

Between August 12 to 27, 2023, Genshin Impact’s Spanish Twitter account encouraged players to get involved and create 10k retweets, which then translated to 10,000 KG of dog food that Hoyoverse donated. Fans, of course, flooded the Twitter replies with pictures of their own dogs which is incredibly wholesome in itself.

The non-profit organization and Hoyo’s collab had Genshin Impact’s Thoma as its mascot, along with Taroumaru, the dog running Komore Teahouse in Inazuma. We saw this in the recent 4.1 version livestream along with delightful artwork from Twitter user Nonemii_ and others.

Genshin Impact charity work: a quote from a dog owner and a lovely picture

Adverts with QR codes appeared along Mexico City’s train stations and platforms, where the public could scan the code and retweet the appropriate Tweet, to make sure it gained traction and fulfilled its goals.

And, we’re pleased to say, that it did just that. The literal ton of food fed over 5,000 dogs in the city. The CTC has continued to feed canines ever since its creation in 2017, looking after dogs found across all 12 train lines in Mexico City.

Genshin Impact Kirara build

Are you expecting a package? Because Genshin Impact’s Kirara is here to deliver. This energetic nekomata is always on the move, and we’re here to help you make the most of her unique kit. She’s blessed with a dendro vision and looks to be a formidable shielder, so read on if you want to learn more about her skills, best weapons, constellations, and more.

We’ve got a whole bunch of Genshin guides to help you on your journey across Teyvat. Check out our Genshin Impact tier list, Genshin Impact codes, and Genshin Impact next banner guides to get up to date on the latest content and meta. We’ve also got build guides for other dendro characters like Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham, Genshin Impact’s Baizhu, and Genshin Impact’s Kaveh.

Here’s everything we know so far about Genshin Impact’s Kirara.

What’s the best Genshin Impact Kirara build?

Based on what we’ve seen in the Genshin Impact update livestream, Genshin’s Kirara is a dendro sword user and looks to be an extremely powerful shield support. Her elemental skill has massive damage absorption potential, particularly for dendro damage, that scales based on her max HP. Her kit is somewhat similar to Genshin Impact’s Layla in this way.

Her elemental skill and elemental burst are also great dendro reaction drivers for your other DPS units, dealing AoE dendro damage and afflicting enemies with the element. She’s looking to be a pretty decent off-field shield supporter, but we’ll be sure to update you on her best uses when we test her out in version 3.7. She’s voiced by Julia Gu in the English version and Sayumi Suzushiro in the Japanese version, who you might recognise as the voice of Shinigami in Master Detective Archives: Rain Code and Jackie in Arknights.

What are the best Genshin Impact Kirara weapons?

Based on what we know so far about Kirara’s kit, the Key of Khaj-Nisut is the best five-star sword for her. It increases her max HP which buffs her shield’s damage absorption, and also has the chance to increase the team’s elemental mastery if you use her skill frequently enough. We’ve also suggested some potential four-star options that buff her energy recharge. Sapwood Blade seems like a particularly good budget pick as you can forge it and it synergises well with dendro reaction teams.

Weapon Effect How to obtain
Key of Khaj-Nisut Bonus stat: HP
Skill: HP increased by 20%. When an elemental skill hits opponents, you gain the Grand Hymn effect for 20 seconds. This effect increases Kirara’s elemental mastery by 0.12% of her max HP. This effect can trigger once every 0.3 seconds. Max three stacks. When this effect gains three stacks, or when the third stack’s duration is refreshed, the elemental mastery of all nearby party members increases by 0.2% of Kirara’s max HP for 20 seconds
Gacha
Sapwood Blade Bonus stat: energy recharge
Skill: Triggering burning, quicken, aggravate, spread, bloom, hyperbloom, or burgeon creates a Leaf of Consciousness around Kirara for a maximum of ten seconds. When picked up, the Leaf grants Kirara 60 elemental mastery for 12 seconds. Only one Leaf can be generated this way every 20 seconds. This effect can still trigger if Kirara is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness’ effect cannot stack
Forging
Favonius Sword Bonus stat: energy recharge
Skill: Crit hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of elemental particles, which regenerate six energy for Kirara. Can only occur once every 12 seconds
Gacha

What are the best Genshin Impact Kirara artifacts?

Based on the artifact sets we currently have in the game, we’ve made some suggestions below about which ones work with Kirara’s kit, but currently none of them are a perfect fit. If you want to lean fully into her shielding capabilities, a four-piece set of Tenacity of the Milelith buffs Kirara’s HP and shield strength. For a similar effect but from multiple sets, you can try two pieces of Vourukasha’s Glow and two pieces of Retracing Bolide. We’re still figuring out the right loadout for her, so feel free to experiment!

Artifact set Effect How to obtain
Tenacity of the Milelith Two equipped: HP +20%
Four equipped: upon hitting an enemy with an elemental skill, all nearby party members gain 20% attack and 30% shield strength for three seconds. You can trigger this effect once every 0.5 seconds, even if Kirara is not on the field
Ridge Watch domain on Bishui Plain, Liyue
Vourukasha’s Glow Two equipped: HP +20%
Four equipped: increases elemental skill and elemental burst damage by 10%. When Kirara takes damage, the aforementioned damage bonus increases by 80% for five seconds. This effect can reach a maximum of five stacks, with the duration of each stack counted independently. The effects can trigger even if Kirara isn’t on the field
Molten Iron Fortress Domain in the Girdle of the Sands, Sumeru
Retracing Bolide Two equipped: shield strength +35%
Four equipped: while protected by a shield, gain an additional 40% normal and charged attack damage
Domain of Guyun in Sea of Clouds, Guyun Stone Forest, Liyue, or the Retracing Bolide artifact strongbox
Defender’s Will Two equipped: defence +30%
Four equipped: increases elemental resistance by 30% for each element present among the characters in your party
Chests, enemy drops, domains

Artifact stat recommendations

We recommend focusing on the following stats when picking artifacts for Kirara.

Main stats:

  • HP
  • Energy recharge
  • Elemental mastery

Sub-stats:

  • Attack
  • Crit rate
  • Crit damage

Genshin Impact Kirara: A close up of Kirara's face, a light skinned girl with mousey brown hair and cat ears.

What are Genshin Impact Kirara’s abilities?

The key abilities in Kirara’s kit are her elemental skill and burst. They both deal AoE dendro damage and her skill provides a shield for her and her teammates that has incredible damage absorption potential. It’s definitely worth focusing your efforts on those skills instead of her normal attack.

Active skills:

Skill Effect
Normal attack: Boxcutter Normal: Performs up to four rapid strikes
Charged: Consumes a certain amount of stamina to unleash three rapid claw strikes
Plunging: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE damage upon impact
Elemental skill: Meow-teor Kick Press: Kirara leaps into the air with all the agility of a cat passing through the bushes, and thwacks her foes with a flying kick that deals AoE dendro damage while creating a Shield of Safe Transport. This also briefly applies dendro to Kirara. The shield absorbs dendro damage with 250% effectiveness. The shield’s damage absorption is based on Kirara’s max HP and will not exceed a certain percentage of that max HP. If Kirara creates a new shield while a previous one is still active, it gains the remaining damage absorption stacks, and its duration resets
Hold: Kirara deploys a Shield of Safe Transport identical to the one created by pressing the skill and curls up into a special express delivery box, entering the Urgent Neko Parcel state in order to move and fight more swiftly.
Urgent Neko Parcel
· Deals dendro damage to opponents she crashes into. This effect can be triggered once on each opponent every 0.5 seconds
· When in this state, Kirara’s movement speed, climbing speed, and jumping power increase, and her stamina consumption from climbing also increases
· When the duration ends or the Kirara uses the skill again, she unleashes a Flipclaw Strike more powerful than the attack in the press mode, dealing AoE dendro damage
· The Urgent Neko Parcel state lasts a maximum of ten seconds. When the state ends, the skill enters cooldown. The longer Kirara spends in this state, the longer the cooldown is
· Sprinting or actively cancelling climbing ends this state early
Elemental burst: Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch Smash opponents with a Special Delivery Package, dealing AoE dendro damage. After the Special Delivery Package explodes, it splits up into many Cat Grass Cardamoms that explode either on contact with opponents or after a period of time, dealing AoE dendro damage

Passive skills:

Skill Effect
Cat’s Creeping Carriage When Kirara is in the party, animals who produce fowl, raw meat, or chilled meat aren’t startled when party members approach them
Bewitching, Betwitching Tails When Kirara is in the Urgent Neko Parcel state of Meow-teor Kick, each impact against an opponent grants her a stack of Reinforced Packaging. You can trigger this effect once for each opponent she hits every 0.5 seconds, for a maximum of three stacks. When the Urgent Neko Parcel state ends, each stack of Reinforced Packaging creates one Shield of Safe Transport for Kirara. The shields created this way have 20% of the damage absorption that the Shield of Safe Transport produced by Meow-teor Kick would have. If Kirara is already protected by a Shield of Safe Transport created by Meow-teor Kick, its damage absorption stacks with these shields and its duration resets
Pupillary Variance Every 1,000 max HP Kirara possesses increases the damage Meow-teor Kick deals by 0.4%, and the damage Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch deals by 0.3%

What are Genshin Impact Kirara’s constellations?

Constellations are additional buffs that you unlock by pulling duplicates of a character. Here’s all the constellations for Kirara.

Constellation Effect
C1: Material Circulation Every 8,000 max HP Kirara possesses causes her to create one extra Cat Grass Cardamom when she uses Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch. She can create a maximum of four extra Cat Grass Cardamom in this way
C2: Perfectly Packaged When Kirara is in the Urgent Neko Parcel state of Meow-teor Kick, she grants Critical Transport Shields to any other party members she crashes into. The damage absorption of Critical Transport Shield is 40% of the maximum absorption of Meow-teor Kick’s normal Shields of Safe Transport, and they absorb dendro damage with 250% effectiveness. Critical Transport Shields last 12 seconds, and you can trigger them once on each character every ten seconds
C3: Universal Recognition Increases the level of Meow-teor Kick by three, up to a maximum level of 15
C4: Steed of Skanda After active characters protected by Shields of Safe Transport or Critical Transport Shields hit opponents with normal, charged, or plunging attacks, Kirara performs a coordinated attack with them using Small Cat Grass Cardamoms, dealing 200% of her attack as dendro damage. This damage is considered elemental burst damage. This effect can trigger once every 3.8 seconds
C5: A Thousand Miles in a Day Increases the level of Secret Art: Surprise Dispatch by three, up to a maximum level of 15
C6: Countless Sights to See All nearby party members gain 12% all elemental damage bonus within 15 seconds after Kirara uses her elemental skill or burst

What are the best Genshin Impact Kirara team comps?

As we haven’t had a chance to test Kirara out ourselves just yet, we’re not sure which team comps would work best for her. Depending on how you build her, she can benefit from dendro resonance teams or multi-element comps, and she could be a great fit for bloom-based teams as her shields protect your allies from the dendro core explosions. We’ll be sure to add more specific team comps as we get to try her out for ourselves.

Genshin Impact Traveler dendro, geo, anemo, and electro builds

Genshin Impact’s Traveler is the general name given to the twin you choose – who otherwise canonically go as Aether and Lumine. Traveler can switch between anemo, geo, electro, and dendro elements by resonating with Statues of The Seven around the world map. In this Genshin Traveler guide we go over all of their skills, the best artifacts and weapons for each element, and more.

For help with other characters, take a look at our Genshin Impact Yanfei and Genshin Impact Yoimiya guides. If you want to wish for some brand new characters on the Genshin Impact next banner but are low on primogems, head over to our Genshin Impact codes list to line your wallets with some extra in-game currency.

Genshin Impact Traveler

Genshin Impact Traveler: Aether, Lumine, and Paimon hanging Xiao lanterns together.

What’s the best Genshin Impact Traveler build?

With any elemental alignment, the Traveler always seems to excel the most in sub-dps support roles. They work as a great battery for their main element, especially in geo and dendro modes, and generally have kits geared towards elemental application and crowd control. In most situations, they’re out-done by other characters who wield the same element, but they’re a great staple and easy to ascend due to materials being given to you or purchasable from each region’s gift shop.

What are the best Genshin Traveler weapons?

The Skyward Blade is the best weapon for anemo, electro, and geo Traveler. You can also use Festering Desire as a replacement weapon.

For dendro traveler, Freedom-Sworn or Sacrificial Sword are your best options.

Weapon Effect
Skyward Blade Critical hit rate is increased by 4%. Traveler gains Skypiercing Might when an elemental burst is used. This increases movement and attack speed by 10% and boosts the damage of normal and charged attacks by 20% for 12 seconds

Freedom-Sworn Increases damage by 10%. When you trigger elemental reactions, you gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s, even if said character is not on the field. When you possess two Sigils of Rebellion, both are consumed and all nearby party members obtain Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance for 12 seconds. Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance increases normal, charged, and plunging attack damage by 16%, and increases attack by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you can’t gain more Sigils of Rebellion for 20 seconds. Buffs of the same type don’t stack.
Sacrificial Sword After damaging an opponent with an elemental skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own cooldown. Can only occur once every 30 seconds.

Genshin Impact Traveler: Aether and Paimon looking wide eyed at something in the sky while Aether holds a sparkler.

What are the best Genshin Traveler artifacts?

We recommend using a full set of Viridescent Venerer items for the anemo Traveler and a full set of Noblesse Oblige for the geo Traveler. However, Noblesse Oblige is also a good second choice for an anemo build.

For electro Traveler, you should use Noblesse Oblige or Emblem of Severed Fate. The best pick for dendro Traveler is Deepwood Memories, unless you have another dendro wielder on the team equipped with this set, in which case you should give Traveler Gilded Dreams.

Artifact set Effect
Viridescent Venerer Two equipped: 15% anemo damage bonus
Four equipped: Swirl damage is increased by 60%. Your opponent’s elemental resistance to the element infused in the swirl is decreased by 40% for ten seconds

Gilded Dreams Two equipped: elemental mastery +80
Four equipped:
within eight seconds of triggering an elemental reaction, the character equipping this obtains buffs based on the elemental type of the other party members. Attack is increased by 14% for each member whose elemental type is the same as the equipping character, and elemental mastery is increased by 50 for every member with a different elemental type. Each of the buffs count up to three characters. This effect can be triggered once every eight seconds, even when not on the field

Genshin Impact Alhaitham build

On our latest travels across Sumeru, we’ve crossed paths Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham, a strapping, silver-haired scholar who appears to have a trick or two up his sleeve. Though solid information about him is somewhat scarce at the moment, we’ve done a little detective work to dig up everything we know for now. Of course, we’ll be sure to update this guide if Hoyoverse gives us any more interesting crumbs, but in the meantime, let’s take a look at this tall, broody, and handsome chap.

For more info on the upcoming characters, check out our Genshin Impact Sumeru, Genshin Impact Tighnari, Genshin Impact Collei, and Genshin Impact Dori guides. We’ve also got helpful information on the next and current Genshin Impact banner, as well as a Genshin Impact tier list boasting the best of the best.

When is Genshin Alhaitham’s banner?

Genshin Impact Alhaitham’s debut banner, ‘Caution in Confidence’, will begin on January 18, and be available until February 8. It will run with Genshin Impact Xiao’s rerun banner. Alhaitham’s brand new weapon, Light of Foliar Incision, will be on the weapon at the same time.

You can find out more about the current and next Genshin Impact banners right here on Pocket Tactics.

Who is Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham?

In the third Genshin Impact Sumeru trailer, Hoyoverse revealed an upcoming Dendro character called Alhaitham. We then meet him in Port Ormos, during the Sumeru Archon Quests. But who is the mysterious scholar?

YouTube Thumbnail

Alhaitham works as a Scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya’s Harvatat – one of the six main schools, which focuses on linguistics. Being a part of Sumeru Akademiya, Alhaitham is familiar with many other characters, including those who studied there like Genshin Impact’s Lisa. Some keen-eyed players also noticed a suspicious note outside the Wangshu Inn in Liyue that suggests Alhaitham and Zhongli share a friendship.

Alhaitham’s name is likely based on Ibn Al-Haytham, an Arab mathematician, astronomer, and physicist of the Islamic Golden Age. He’s considered to be the ‘father of modern optics’ due to his significant contributions to the study and principles of optics, having been credited as the first person in history to prove that vision occurs in the brain instead of the eyes. This makes sense with Alhaitham being from Sumeru, the nation of scholars, and perhaps gives us further insight into his intellectual prowess.

Genshin Impact Alhaitham looking over the water at a port

Alhaitham has grey hair, and his outfit is black, turquoise, gold, and green. Many fans have highlighted the similarities between him and Honkai Impat 3rd’s Su, which wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a Honkai ‘expy’ (or export) appear in Genshin’s roster, with characters like Genshin Impact’s Raiden bearing striking resemblances to previous Honkai characters. Coincidentally, Honkai’s Su is actually a scientist who created the ‘seed of Sumeru’.

What is Genshin Impact Alhaitham’s element?

Alhaitham possesses a Dendro vision, as seen attached to his cape. He will be the fourth Dendro character released into Genshin (not including the Traveler).

What is Alhaitham Genshin Impact’s best role?

Alhaitham fits best in a DPS, or perhaps sub-DPS role. He is not an off-field applicator, and his Chisel Light Mirrors will disappear when he leaves the field. As a Dendro user, he will excel at creating reactions, so it will be best to set up some elements and then unleash his special and burst to deal plenty of damage when they are charged.

What’s the best Genshin Alhaitham build?

Here are our speculative choices for what’s best to equip Alhaitham with. Taking into account what we know about his constellations and talents, buffing his Elemental Mastery is a priority, as it translates to damage on his skill and burst. Thankfully, there are weapons and artifact sets that can help with this.

What are the best Genshin Alhaitham weapons?

Alhaitham is a sword user, along with his Dendro vision. When he is in the game, we will update you with our tried and tested picks. Ahead of his release, we can recommend these weapons for Alhaitham, especially his signature weapon, Light of Foliar Sanction, which will be available on the weapon banner alongside him.

Weapon Rarity Stat Skill How to obtain
Light of Foliar Incision 5-Star CRIT damage CRIT Rate is increased by 4%. When Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12s. Weapon banner
Sapwood Blade 4-Star Energy Recharge After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness’ effect cannot stack. Crafting
Freedom Sworn 5-Star Elemental Mastery Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance for 12s. Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance increases Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the Millennial Movement, buffs of the same type will not stack. Gacha
Lion’s Roar 4-Star ATK % Increases DMG against enemies affected by Pyro or Electro by 20%. Gacha

Other than these specific picks, Primordial Jade Cutter or Mistsplitter Reforged will be good options due to their CRIT rate buffs.

What are the best Genshin Alhaitham artifacts?

Like Alhaitham’s weapon choice, you’re going to want to go for Elemental Mastery and Dendro damage buffs with his artifacts. There are a few good sets we can use for this:

Artifact set 2-Piece Bonus 4-Piece Bonus
Deepwood Memories 15% Dendro DMG Bonus After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets’ Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
Gilded Dreams Increases Elemental Mastery by 80 Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and EM is increased by 50 for every member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s and even when not on the field.
Wanderer’s Troupe Increases Elemental Mastery by 80 Not recommended
Flower of Paradise Lost Increases Elemental Mastery by 80 The equipping character’s Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%. Additionally, after the equipping character triggers Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, they will gain another 25% bonus to the effect mentioned prior. Each stack of this lasts 10s. Max 4 stacks simultaneously. This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

For other, not-as-specific choices, the Noblesse Oblige and Gladiator’s Finale sets (especially with the two-piece bonus) are always good choices due to their Elemental Burst and ATK buffs respectively. They are also easier to attain given that they can be crafted at the Alchemy bench, or earned from some bosses as drops.

Genshin Impact Alhaitham stood looking out over Port Ormos

What are Genshin Impact Alhaitham’s skills?

Note that this information is currently unconfirmed by Hoyoverse, and has been spied in the 3.4 beta. According to Honey Impact, his skills are like this:

  • Normal Attack – Up to five rapid strikes
  • Charged Attack – Two rapid sword strikes that use an amount of Stamina
  • Plunging Attack – When jumping from mid-air, will hit the ground with a small AoE to damage enemies.

Alhaitham’s Elemental Skill, Universality, seems to resemble Genshin Impact Keqing‘s, and sees him perform a rush attack while dealing Dendro damage. By holding the associated button, you can aim where to place the attack, too. This attack forms a ‘Chisel Light Mirror’, which changes his normal attack damage to Dendro, and provides Projection Attacks causing more Dendro damage in a small AoE.

His Elemental Burst, Particular Field, is where the hefty damage comes in. Again, like Keqing’s burst filled with quick strikes, Alhaitham’s burst sets out a ‘Binding Field’ that strikes all opponents in it with Dendro damage. The more Chisel Light Mirrors that exist when you activate this skill, the more damage it deals.

What are Genshin Impact Alhaitham’s Constellations?

Alhaitham’s Constellation appears to be called Falco Caeli, which translates to ‘Falcon (or hawk)’ and ‘sculptors chisel’. It has also been named ‘Vultur Volans’, which is the old name for the constellation Aquila, meaning eagle.

From what we’ve seen, Alhaitham’s Constellations are the following:

  • Intuition – Alhaitham’s elemental skill cooldown is reduced by 1 second when a Projection Attack hits an enemy.
  • Debate – Each Chisel Light Mirror being created increases Alhaitham’s Elemental Mastery by 40 for 8 seconds.
  • Negation – Increases the level of Alhaitham’s elemental skill by three.
  • Elucidation – When Alhaitham’s burst is performed, two effects will take place:
    • Chisel Light Mirrors will increase EM of all party members for 15 seconds.
    • Chisel Light Mirrors will give Alhaitham a 10% Dendro bonus for 15 seconds.
  • Sagacity – Increases the level of Alhaitham’s burst by three.
  • Validity – Creating more than the maximum Chisel Light Mirrors increases Alhaitham’s Crit rate and Crit damage by 10% and 70% for 6 seconds.

What are Genshin Alhaithams’s ascension and talent materials?

Unfortunately for us Alhaitham wanters, there isn’t much preparation we can do ahead of time, aside from gathering Nagadus Emeralds and the Eremite headband item drops. The local speciality and boss drops that Alhaitham needs to ascend are both being added in 3.4, along with the man himself. We’ll need Psuedo-Stamens from a new Setekh Wenut boss – a big desert snake – and Sand Grease Pupas that we can pick up in the same area. His talent materials can be farmed in advance, however; Alhaitham needs the Ingenuity talent books, and the Mirror of Mushin drops from the Balladeer weekly boss.

That’s everything we know about Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham so far, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as Hoyoverse confirms anything else. In the meantime, head over to our list of the best games like Genshin Impact to find something fresh to play.

Genshin Impact Nahida release date, element, and theories

Among the sea of Sumeru characters revealed in Genshin Impact’s third teaser trailer for the new region, one mysterious little girl has sparked up a lot of interest. Sat atop a tree branch with a cheeky smile, dressed in delicate, fairy-like clothes, Genshin Impact’s Nahida is definitely up to something – and we’re here to theorise what.

So, let’s take a closer look at Genshin Impact’s Nahida, along with her design, potential element, release date, and what’s behind that mischievous, knowing little smile. We’ll be sure to update this guide when Hoyoverse shares more about her, but in the meantime, let’s get to theorising!

For more information on the upcoming nation, check out our Genshin Impact Sumeru, Genshin Impact Alhaitham, Genshin Impact Dehya, and Genshin Impact Nilou guides. We’ve also got a handy-dandy Genshin Impact tier list, along with all of the new Genshin Impact codes so you can get saving for those new characters.

Who is Genshin Impact’s Nahida?

We saw our first official glance at Genshin Impact’s Nahdia in the third Sumeru teaser trailer. Hoyoverse didn’t reveal much about her, only referring to her as a ‘mysterious girl’, but her unique design might just give us a couple of hints as to who she is.

YouTube Thumbnail

Of course, we know that Nahida is associated with Genshin Impact’s Sumeru, and her outfit certainly enforces this. She has a predominantly green, white, and silver colour scheme, with her clothes taking the shape of flower petals. Her cape is reminiscent of a pair of wings, making her look almost like a tree fairy. She’s also adorned with little motifs that look similar to four-leaf clovers, which also appear in her pupils.

And this is where it gets interesting – many of us have come to theorise that Nahida may actually be Genshin Impact’s Lesser Lord Kusanali, Sumeru’s archon. We already know (through various dialogue lines) that Kusanali is young and small in stature, which fits in with Nahida’s model. Also, her fairy-like appearance ties in with the meaning of Kusanali, which comes from the Pali words kusa (kusa-grass, a sacred plant) and naku (a hollow stalk or tube). In Chinese, her name literally translates to ‘little lucky-grass monarch’, and that seems to fit Nahida’s design perfectly – especially with the clover-like symbols.

The most compelling argument for Kusanali being the dendro archon is her appearance. Like previous archons, she doesn’t appear to have a vision on her, and her hair is tipped with a green gradient – something that appears to be a common trait shared by Genshin Impact’s Zhongli, Genshin Impact’s Raiden, and Genshin Impact’s Venti.

Remember this is, however, all theory-crafting, and Hoyoverse is yet to give us any confirmation, but it’s fun to guess!

What is Genshin Impact Nahida’s element?

Though nothing is confirmed, Nahida’s design makes us think that she’s likely a dendro wielder.

When is Genshin Impact Nahida’s banner?

We don’t know Genshin Impact Nahida’s release date or banner yet, but we’re pretty sure it won’t be in version 3.0, so we’ll likely have to wait until 3.1 onward. However, she could still appear in the storyline before then – we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

What are Genshin Impact Nahida’s skills?

Hoyoverse is yet to share anything about Nahida’s skills, role, or rarity yet. But we’ll let you know as soon as we find out.

That’s everything we’ve got on Genshin Impact’s Nahida so far, we may have to wait until we get to Sumeru to find out more. In the meantime, head over to our list of the best games like Genshin Impact to find something new to play.

Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu release date and banner

Hoyoverse has finally revealed Genshin Impact’s Kuki Shinobu. This four-star electro character has ties to the one and oni Genshin Impact’s Itto – for better or worse. She’s best used in a support role and can perform some handy heals to keep your team alive.

We’ve heard bits and pieces about the new Arataki gang member, Genshin Impact’s Kuki Shinobu, and we’re pretty smitten already. This kind, hardworking girl has a strong sense of responsibility and duty when it comes to the troublesome oni, and we can’t wait to see what hijinks they get up to when she becomes a playable character. But when is Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu’s release date? And who exactly is she?

If you want more info on potential upcoming characters, check out our Genshin Impact leaks, and Genshin Impact Scaramouche and Genshin Impact Heizou guides. And, as there’s always someone new to save those primos for, you should head over to our list of all the latest Genshin Impact codes for some great freebies.

Genshin Impact’s Kuki Shinobu

WHAT IS GENSHIN IMPACT KUKI SHINOBU’S banner?

You can pick Kuki Shinobu up during phase two of update 2.7, alongside Itto in the Oni’s Royale Genshin Impact banner. The Oni’s Royale banner starts on July 21, 2022, and also features Genshin Impact’s Gorou and Genshin Impact’s Chongyun.

Who is Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu?

Kuki Shinobu is the deputy of the Arataki gang, and it’s her job to keep Itto in line, covering for his antics and compensating for any damages he causes, as well as collecting him from jail whenever he gets in trouble. She studied law in Liyue shortly before Inazuma went into lockdown, though her parents wanted her to be a Shrine Maiden like her older sister Miyuki.

What is Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu’s weapon and best build?

We’re still awaiting Kuki Shinobu’s release date, so we’ve not had the chance to test out her builds yet, but we do know that she’s a four-star electro sword wielder, and her skills suggest that she excels in a sub-DPS/healer hybrid role.

What is the best Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu weapon?

As stated above, we’ve not had the chance to test different weapons on Kuki Shinobu yet. However, when looking at her skills, we believe the following will be the best options.

Freedom-sworn takes the top spot due to her healing scaling with her elemental mastery, and its skill still procking when she’s not on field. Similarly, Iron Sting essentially works as an elemental mastery stat stick, though the skill likely won’t be very valuable to her.

On the other hand, Sacrificial Sword’s energy recharge means Kuki will be able to use her burst more frequently, and the skill reset is always handy, especially as her skill field deals damage and therefore should be able to reset her skill even if she’s not on the field.

Weapon Effect (level one) How to get
Freedom-Sworn Bonus stat: increases elemental mastery by 43
Skill: increases damage by 10%. When Kuki triggers elemental reactions, she gains a Sigil of Rebellion (once every 0.5 seconds). This triggers even if she isn’t on the field. When she reaches two sigils, she consumes both to grant all nearby party members +20% attack and +16% normal, charged, and plunging attack damage for 12 seconds. Once triggered, she gains no sigils for 20 seconds. Buff of the same type don’t stack
Gacha
Sacrificial Sword Bonus stat: increases energy recharge by 13.3%
Skill: after Kuki damages an opponent with her elemental skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. This can occur once every 30 seconds
Gacha
Iron Sting Bonus stat: increases elemental mastery by 36
Skill: dealing elemental damage increases all of Kuki’s damage by 6% for six seconds. This can occur once every second

What are Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu’s best aritfacts?

We’re unsure which artifacts are best suited to Kuki Shinobu at the moment, but we we believe that Tenacity of the Millelith will work well with her kit as the heals from her skill will proc the buff, even when she’s off-field.

Alternatively, if you don’t have another character on the team equipped with Noblesse Oblige we recommend giving that to Kuki, as its team-wide buff is invaluable but doesn’t stack.

When it comes to stats and sub-stats, we suggest aiming to increase her HP and elemental mastery. We’ll be sure to update this section when we know more.

Artifact set Effect How to obtain
Tenacity of the Millelith Two equipped: increases HP by 20%
Four equipped: when Kuki’s elemental skill hits an opponent, increases the attack of all nearby party members by 20%, and increases their shield strength by 30% for 30 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 0.5 seconds, even when Kuki isn’t on the field
Ridge Watch Domain in Bishui Plain, Liyue
Noblesse Oblige Two equipped: increases elemental burst damage by 20%
Four equipped: when Kuki uses her elemental burst, it increases all party members’ attack by 20% for 12 seconds. This effect cannot stack
From the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern domain in Minlin, Liyue, or from the Noblesse Oblige artifact strongbox

What are Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu’s abilities?

From what we’ve seen of Kuki’s abilities, she appears to have the potential to offer some great DPS and electro application, while also healing herself and her teammates. Her skill relies on her sacrificing a portion of her health, and the duration of her burst extends if her HP is below 50%. Therefore, like Genshin Impact’s Hu Tao, she benefits from not being healed to full HP.

Active skills:

Skill Effect
Shinobu’s Shadowsword (normal attack) Perform up to four rapid strikes
Shinobu’s Shadowsword (charged) Consume stamina to unleash two rapid sword strikes
Sanctifying Ring (elemental skill) Kuki sacrifices a portion of her HP to create a Grass Ring of Sanctification, dealing electro damage to all nearby opponents. The Grass Ring of Sanctification follows your active character, dealing electro damage to nearby opponents every 1.5 seconds, and restoring HP for active characters within the ring’s AoE based on Kuki’s max HP. The HP consumption from this skill can bring her HP no lower than 20%
Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite Kuki stabs an evil-excoriating blade into the ground, creating a field that cleanses the area of all that is foul, dealing continuous electro damage to opponents within its AoE based on Kuki’s max HP. If her HP is less than or equal to 50% when she uses this skill, the field lasts longer

Passive skills:

Skill Effect
Inazuma Expedition Gain more rewards when dispatched on an Inazuma Expedition for 20 hours
Heart’s Repose The healing and damage from Kuki’s elemental skill increases with the level of her elemental mastery
Break Free Kuki’s healing bonus increases when her HP is low

What are Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu’s constellations?

The following information is sourced from Honey Impact. Hoyoverse hasn’t officially released Kuki’s constellations yet, and they are subject to change.

Constellation Effect
To Cloister Compassion Increases Kariyama Rite’s AoE by 50%
To Forsake Fortune Increases Grass Ring of Sanctification’s duration by three seconds
To Sequester Sorrow Increases Sanctifying Ring’s level by three
To Sever Sealing If the character with Kuki’s Grass Ring active hits an enemy with a normal, plunging, or charged attack, they apply a Thundergrass Mark to said enemy. This deals electro AoE damage equal to 9.&% of Kuki’s max HP
To Cease Courtesies Increases Kariyama Rite’s level by three
To Ward Weakness When Kuki takes damage that would reduce her HP to 0, she won’t be knocked out. This effect triggers when her HP reaches one and can only occur once every 60 seconds. When Kuki’s HP drops below 25%, her elemental mastery increases by 150 for 15 seconds. This can also only occur once every 60 seconds

What are Kuki Shinobu’s ascension materials?

In order to ascend Kuki, you need plenty of Spectral Husks from spectres, and Runic Fangs from the boss in the Genshin Impact Chasm.

Required leve Mora Materials
20 20,000 One vajrada amethyst sliver, three naku weed, three spectral husk
